Ok, a little more info. I saw that it was dripping fuel, so I started checking things. Found that the aux fuel inlet cap was not even finger tight and had been leaking. I also filled the tank just in case the gauge was off. Still will not stay running more than a few seconds after it is up...
I just bought my MEP-004AAS from GovLiquidation and Picked it up in Utah at the base. Got it home, checked the oil and fluids, checked the batteries, wiring, plugs, etc. The unit starts and runs but only for a few seconds then shuts down. What am I missing on the startup?
I should have stated that the original seals were the rubber top ones and that is why they are harder to get out. The new seal would be easier to remove than the old one.
It took me a while to get the seal out of the housing was the only hard part. The rest was easy. I had to install a repair sleeve on my output and I filled the groove with JB Weld before I installed it. If you don't put a backing on it, the groove will simply show back up after a few miles on...
I didn't get the Doghead relay done today but I did get the front driveline seal done on the transfer case. So far that is the only fluid leak I have found since I got the rig. Doghead is next.
I bought the relay last night after work but have not had a chance to finish it yet. When I got the truck, the original relay was melted and do not want to be in the middle of nowhere and have it happen again. Better safe than sorry.

Just brought my M1009 home from Nellis. Used a tow bar from Harbor Freight and some custom made adapters made from some heavy wall 2X3 tube with the internal weld ground smooth. Will post pics later. Replaced the starter relay and batteries and it started right up...
