Yes, they have been indoors for more than 20 years, a cement floor and good dry building. Thanks for the tip on squirting some oil in the cylinders. They had a mechanic on site for several days trying to get stuff running (lots of old trucks but mostly not military) and he got some running...
Attended a local auction today. I have been trying to get this guy to sell me one of his three M37's for over 20 years. He always said I would have to wait for his auction after he dies. Well he didn't die but he had his auction and I bought two of the three.
Neither has been run for...
Thanks for all the input. Sounds like this would be a great genset for someone needing lots of lighting at a construction site.
Yes my intent was to run two homes, mine and my neighbors. Being able to run motors is essential for my intended purpose. For example the well pump, septic pump...
If you get in a real bind it is a 90 mile drive for me but I could maybe do it. (wrong direction for Ohio too) I also have a relative near there, he also has a wife that works on base. I'm just afraid that it might be hard for him to get there during GL business hours and not sure if she...
Dang, I thought that was what you experts would say. That's the last time I will ever shoot from the hip with a bid on anything. Looks like a $550 lesson that I won't forget.
It was the one from Iowa that was on a sealed bid. With tax and fees it is costing me about $2500 plus a 400 mile...
I messed up and won an auction on an MEP-114A 30KW genset. I saw it was 3 phase and figured no big deal, I know enough farmers that have 3 phase that could use it. I did not notice that it was 400 hertz until after I got the invoice.
Is there any way it could be changed to 60 Hertz and...
Thanks for the update. The telescopeing leg I was talking about was the 'leg' you are offering to hold the lunette up in the air when hooking up alone.
One comment on your pic of the first prototype. Keep in mind I have never used one of these so I may be way off base. The lunette seems to be off center compared to the duece suggesting one leg is longer. I would think that would make the towed vehicle turn harder one way or the other...
Like hndrsonj said. DRMO has also been sending lots of small stuff to other locations for a long time simply because they dont have room to store it for sales at some locations. It sucks for those that are close to one of the locations doing that, cuts down on their buying options.
Heck, there is a dealer right in your back yard. They are a little spendy because from what it looks like they fix them up good before selling them. But no harm to go talk to them.
Scrapdaddy, No the Export form is not that second page of the EUC where they talk a little about export. The form you want is a one page form only about export. I could have sworn it was on the GL web site but I cannot find it. Like Rosco says, get on the chat line and have them email the...
Ace, make sure when you exit the chat that you take the option to have the chat sent as an email. Did the chat person confirm that they actually recieved your EUC materials? They should be able to do that much.
If you do go regular plates just don't go over 27,000. First it is a waste of money and second it puts you under commercial laws. After reading another discussion going on here it sounds like that could be a real mess.
You have the option of farm plates too of that fits your situation.
If you haven't already read it this thread about Wisconsin registration may help too.

Scrapdaddy, YES, you absolutely should send a signed export form with your EUC. If you don't when GL finally looks at your EUC they will put it on hold and tell you to send the export form, then you wait for GL to get to it again. Yes, the export form is on the GL site, I think it is right with...
Cool, glad things are starting to come together. I think I read here that it sometimes requires a couple times thru the bleeding process to get the brakes back to normal. On warmup, a cuple minutes is probably enough if you are in a hurry and then take it slow and easy for the next copule of...
Hey, congrats on your truck geting home. When you charge the batteries all you need to do is unhook one end of the cable between the two and charge each one seperately. Should do this once in a while anyway. It does run good tho doesn't it. So are there any brakes at all? The petal was really...
Hey, not to hijack your thread but I can't get GL's web site up now. Anyone else having trouble?
Update: I finally got in after two hours. They must have been down.
I would be calling at 7:00 AM before you drive too far. I have no experience with this location. Some would be OK with it and others would not. Be sure you have your paid reciept handy when you call, they may ask you about some numbers on it to be sure your EUC went thru.
