I'm going to give it a go with pressure wash, sandblast rough areas and fix. Prime and paint with rapco spray cans. I'll post pics when done, hopefully within 2 months.
Now we just need to find a way to get them before GL. You know to save even more transportation costs, we'll just pick them up directly from the unit.:tank::driver:
Some people drive classic cars around on Sundays just to get out and enjoy the road. Some of us drive around looking to enjoy more off the road. My two boys love my truck just as much as I do and never miss a chance to ride with me. Hopefully that lasts a while, they grow up too quick these...
I had the same problem on my A2 a few weeks ago. I left it running long enough to see that my power cable was shorting out against the cover plate. Removed the cover plate and added some shrink tube to the wire just in case. Still have not replaced the cover, but I think I will add some...
Not mounted yet. I'm still deciding what way I'm going to mount it and if I should work on all my fixes first, or mount it and then work on it. I don't have a shop big enough to pull the whole truck into, but I don't want to fix everything only to find out later I didn't need to. The options...
Day 2 of Crew Cab build: Remove the bed...check
This job could not have gone much better. Most of the bolts came right out, using a big breaker bar. Only three sheared off and none got stuck. All in all good progress for the day.
Next up, place second cab on frame and start fab work...

Good Times as always. Test driving the John Deere atv's was fun. They had no idea WE were going to be there! Mud was a little dicouraging but it was fun. Pics soon to follow. Anyone start a mulimedia thread yet?
Sparky, I will be bringing a few burgers and dogs also. My son is kinda a picky eater, if it doesn't look good, he won't touch it. Burgers and dogs all the way. I will also bring some luch meat and bread, maybe PB and J. Got my kerosene heater, grill, tons of firewood, tent and gear packed...
