    Diff failure and rebuild

Nope:). I usually drive it out to every event, more fun that way. I was lucky that this time one of the members of the Jeep club I'm in was willing to drive me and my kids home an hour and a half out of his way to get my pickup and trailer. Think in the future I'll trailer for anything more than...

    Diff failure and rebuild

If you're talking about the stubby output shafts you have to use a puller. Found the details in TM-9-232--387-24-2. What I don't know yet is if the bearings get destroyed pulling them out. Matt

    Diff failure and rebuild

I saw that described in the TM, was thinking about making one. The ones I found during a quick search were pretty expensive. Matt

    Diff failure and rebuild

I have, was using BTM with very little tire spin. No throttle bashing or massive amounts of tire spinning. With the stock 37's wouldn't have been able to attempt the climb so I suppose the 40's gave me the opportunity, whether they actually contributed to the failure, I'm not inclined to think...

    Diff failure and rebuild

    hmmwv tachometer installation

Yup, mine works every now and again. Has a total of about 5 hours logged. I've contacted the place I bought it from on bay but haven't heard back. Pretty sure the tach is junk. Just broke the big girl out on the trails so this is pretty low priority. Think I broke the front dif and something in...

    hmmwv tachometer installation

I unfortunately painted the sides since it doesn't fit flush in the autometer cup. Wish I was more careful now, can only see the first few numbers, 5-K1. The rest is a guess, 2500-94-24-BA-N-00. I also see 00049383

    hmmwv tachometer installation

Ran into the same issue with my 6.2 . Replaced the sender with a new one but no luck. The old sender was yellow and the new one I got is black, is there a difference? The black one was the only one on e bay.

    HMMWV Rock Sliders/ Rocker protection

I'm looking for slider options for the same reason. Damaged my passenger rocker and driver's floor wheeln trails in NH last season. Probably wouldn't have happened if I had the 2" body lift and 39.5 IROKs I just finished installing this weekend.

    HMMWV Rock Sliders/ Rocker protection

You end up making a jig and additional sets? Would be interested in a pair. Thanks,

Should be kinda fun. Wheeler Dealer is doing an episode on a Humvee on 2 Jan.

Wheeler dealers moved to California. Notice at the end they sell it to some guys from another country, think it was the Netherlands. Thought it was illegal to sell these outside the US...

    Major electrical problem

Anyone have an opinion on the cause or has anyone seen this type of damage before? Will be replacing the old box with a new S3 and will be adding a grounding harness as well.

    Major electrical problem

So I pulled the control box and it looks like it dam near caught on fire inside. Can those with more experience with these tell me if they think the solenoid shorted and fried everything else or do you think I have another problem that caused the box to fry? About a week before I started having...

    Major electrical problem

Hey guys, hoping someone can lend me a hand. Have a 91 m998 that had been running great. The last time I drove it I noticed that it smelled like burnt brakes or clutch, thought I might have a dragging caliper. A week later I went to move it into my garage to check the brakes and found that the...

clutch fans are locked to engine

My 91 had a stuck fan when I got it. You can tell by the noise it makes over 40ish, sounds like your getting buzzed by a prop plane. I disconnected the line from the solenoid and blew compressed are down the line until the fan moved back and forward, engaged and disengaged. Wrap a rag around the...
