Did you flatten the ears on the battery wire lug at the solenoid? It sounds like the purple wire from the relay is touching the battery wire lug. Here is a diagram of your starting circuit. http://www.ny-tactical.com/PDF-Files/StartingCircuit.pdf

So you replaced the relay the relay under the dash?

It's funny but I keep hearing about them cycling. I have never had mine cycle on and off. I turn the key. The wait light is on and the volt gauge is in the yellow. Depending on the temp. it could be 10 seconds to 30 seconds before the light goes out. The motor will then fire right up and again...

It's about 5mph right off the bat and by 45 on the speedo I'm doing 55mph according to my GPS. 55 is really 65, 65 is really 75 and so on.

I use mine back and forth to work every day. It's about a 15min ride each way. Plus a few hours of driving on the weekends. I fill up every other week and it's usually around 17 or so gal to top it off. My truck blows away every truck owner I know when it comes to MPG's.

I never saw a cover that fit right ever. LMC has brand new pads for around $260.

With 36" tires and 3.08's I get 20mpg around town and 26mpg on trips. The only improvment to the motor is a set of Flowmasters.
