It's funny but I keep hearing about them cycling. I have never had mine cycle on and off. I turn the key. The wait light is on and the volt gauge is in the yellow. Depending on the temp. it could be 10 seconds to 30 seconds before the light goes out. The motor will then fire right up and again...
The first time I went I brought my son in law. As we were walking down to the main range for the first time a woman behind us say's "excuse me boys". We turn around and see a beautiful blonde southern bell smiling at use while she fast walks past. She was pulling a little red wagon with an M60...
I found this plan to work best for me when I go.
I drive down from NY and get there Saturday afternoon. Check in at the hotel and take a nap. Get up and head over to the range after a bite to eat. Walk around and get the layout. Then I'll get a good spot for the night shoot right at the fence...

Plus next month we have the Rocky Point Parade and a week later Montauk. I'm thinking a Camp Hero Invasion. :-D
I was in the back so I had no say on the speed.
That being said. It was our first time towing, we didn't trust what we were doing, It was wet out and the fastest road we were on had a 45mph speed limit. Last but not least, have you ever seen what we pay in NY for insurance.
Oh another...
