Hey guys. The reason I bought it is because I'm a new diesel tech, been doing it for about 2 years. I've been with this roadside job for about 6 months now. It was partly because I found a great deal, and partly because I want to learn how to repair and rebuild everything on it. And also because...
Ok good morning guys. I already said thanks for the input and I will fix it, guess that was not enough. By asking do I need it? , I should have added, will it really stop the truck while moving. Because the guy I bought it from pulled it while moving and that's what caused it to break.
Im...
I park it in my backyard. Always use chocks I keep them in the underbody box when driving. I understand it can be started with the battery switch off, but in my backyard nothing is gonna bump into it.
As far as the NYS inspection, I'm a roadside diesel mechanic, fully aware of what it needs to...
Replaced battery cables and terminals. Fixed door latches/ strikers do the doors actually close all the way. Going to pick up 2 front tired and wheels for the front. Already mounted and aired up. What SHOULD this cost? I think I scored an amazing deal
Hey guys, so I recently purchased my deuce, the guy that I bought it from pulled the parking brake while driving and disintegrated it. Now it's just the shoes dangling inside the drum. I personally don't use the brake, not many hills around here. Is it something that I need to replace or can I...
Yeah I agree with gimpyrob, that looks like a regulator. A relief valve shouldn't have an airline going into and out of it.
What is it that you are trying to accomplish? Does the truck turn/ steer fine?
Well, with bikeman's search, it's really a 1967 Kaiser Jeep M35A2C last assigned to Letterkenny Army Depot.
Will post pic in a min. Has a hood handle, and has meaty gussets on the C hooks. That's really cool if this was USMC
I wouldnt doubt that man, because there is no contract # and there is nothing there where it says MFD By. Still, let's see if something comes up with bikeman's search. I just want to restore this thing to original, so I need to start by knowing exactly what it is. It also has what I've learned...
Ok. So I need to see if anyone has or can find this Technical Bulletin:
TB9-2300-390-50
tgis is what the day a plate says the truck was reconditioned to
Did some searching, found a thread from years ago that DDoyle posted. Sent him a PM, he was saying in that thread that he stumbled across a deuce with 0125-xxxxx in the frame, but had NK0 as the reg. Which is my situation. Getting interesting now
Also from what I can see, left front (driver) bumper says "T6-54" and passenger says "A-ARN6"
there is a placard in the cab under the specs card that says it was reconditioned 1-89 at LEAD, odometer at that time was 10mi.
