Yes, I was in Neu Ulm for all of 1970. I enjoyed the country very much and went to Bremerhaven when the new M715 (1969 models) arrived by boat. We drove them back to Neu Ulm. I had a 1968 M715 assigned to me and drove it all over Germany. I have not been back to Deutschland since then but...

Thanks for the kind words. That is really cool that you have the Goodyear tires. The tires on my m715 are some no-name but they have lots of tread. I am not naive enough to think that they are as good as new. (I had a blow-out doing 75 MPH on Interstate 95 two years ago in my '65 Corvair!)...

Here is a picture of the first M715 that was assigned to me. The time would be summer of 1969 and the location would be a reservoir up in Abajo Mountain, Utah.
