Anyone replaced the trans pan with an aftermarket model? I would like to add a drain plug if Im going to do it. Still unsure if I need it considering when I change the fluid Im going to replace the filter too.

What would you do in this case. Have to drop the transfercase?

Cleaned up and replaced the fluids in my front and rear Diff!

I looked through all the manuals and Im sure its there but where is it? Or how do I do it.. with pictures if you got them. I cant find the drain or the fill. Yes Im a newb.

Mohawk Dave how is the build coming? did you sandblast the blazer before you painted it?

Take a look at the scraps on the rear diff

As you can see alot of rust and abrasion..

Do any of you clean your front and rear diff with break cleaner once you drain the oil? I see alot of this being done but not sure if this is good.

I had been told that the quality of the optima line has depreciated over the last few years but it looks like you all are getting good results.

Washed out the cab and cleaned out the trash.. Took photos and got all my fluids ready for an upgrade. :-D

Day 1 .. Just got her home what are the things in the first picture from the left bottom? what are the things 4th picture from the left top? Engine looks clean but there is some body rust that will need to be addressed. Last picture top from the left... I founds some odd pieces in the bed...

Ok thanks I was looking to pickup the Quick Heat glow plugs from kennedydiesel.com but was concerened when I say 12volt on them. "This plug fits all civilian (12 volt) GM 6.2, and 6.5 diesels with flat blade terminals. Heats fast like the 9g, but will not swell or burnout."
