Thanks Cory, that's good info. I think I have a bad/no thermo or a 160 degree one. Its amazing how that 25 degrees makes a difference.
All: Sorry about jacking the thread, where were we? Oh yeah, when's the next one!
Cool Pics and Vids James! I'm sure glad everyone had a good time! Make no bones about it, it was cold!!!!:-D I had a hard time keeping my duece at the proper operating temperature even with the wreath on the front and it performed doggy. I'm not sure if my thermostat is bad or it is just...
Here is my short answer to the original post. As long as RPM is below 1000 for 5 mins, your good in my book. Says so on the warning decal. Kinda if you put them both together.
Also, I know for a fact that helicopter turbine engines require a cool down period also, however not 5 min...
Dang weather forcasters! I knew they would get it wrong, their mid-forties are now upper thirties. Oh well, just wil have to put on the cover-alls and bring more hot chocolate for my co-driver. I think with all the smiling going on it will feel 10 degrees warmer! :-D
See everyone there!
Starting to see some 7 day forcast now, weather looks to be sunny, dry, temp in the mid-forties, & slightly windy (15-20 mph).
I'm not sure about other vehicles but my duece, without a heater, seems to be comfortable down to 40 with some warm clothes on. I think the weather will be just...
Save the Slat Grill!!! :-D Grand & generator is a good deal for what I can see. Grap it up and sell it to someone here or G503. I don't think you will have any problem getting your money back a plus you'll be saving and old soldier that deserves better than a pig pen!
M1075,
What is our vehicle count at? Do you have any off-line vehicles joining? Also, I've been told we need to be at Pops NLT 1100 hours, a prompt departure at 0930 will put us close. Round Barn photo op may have to be after lunch but we will see how things are going.
That is a neat trick, do they push back on as easy as pulling them on? Looks like a two man job. I think I will keep my eye out for a cheap ATV lift also. I'm glad everyone kicked in other ideas! This site is great!!!:-D:-D
Well I was making some last minute checks lasts night on my duece before I depart this Friday on my first 200+ mile trip and I discovered an oil leak on one of my rear seals.:evil: It was getting dark and cold and I wasn't looking forward to pulling off each tire and the hub to inspect...
My deuce currently has no tube on it and is making a mess on my starter and front axle. I did a search and saw that I need a 1 1/4" ID tube about 3' long and NAPA has them. My question is, what type of tube am I asking for? I'm expecting the usual questions that have no relevance to my...
So if I understand correctly, then I need two of the "Part #1" from the illustration. I was wondering what the hose attached to. The illustration isn't very good. Thanks for the help.
I need a few parts to complete my coolant heater for my duece.
My List:
1. Part# 19 & 20, Mount for hose coming in from scoop.
2. Part# 1, Mount for hose going into blower unit.
3. Any and all electrical parts. Switch, mount, harness, junction, ect.
Thanks for any help or guidance.:-D
It was my understanding that the MC & Airpack line needed to be seperated from the Fuel tank vent line. Is there another modification seperating the MC from the airpack???
Well I was getting ready for my Halloween trail last night, which I was going to have my duece turn on its lights and blow the horn to scare the patrons. The wife thought the horn was a little too loud, so I packed a blanket in front of it. I hit the horn and it made a funny squeak and now...
