...or more dramatic, if the car is not knocked from the street immediatly but gets cought under the front bumper or the truck starts to roll over it...
Nice video, a ballistic M135 :-)
Did you notice how unbalanced the front wheels wobble after becoming airborne? The driver surely had bad...
He wants to restore it, but as far as I can judge he also might sell it.
I've had a closer look at it, it needs some serious welding around the bottom.
I'll send you a pm tomorrow.

The D-turbo hardly does whistle. Sometimes you hear it a little spooling up or down.
My deuce has a C turbo, and my friends deuce has a D, and there is a huge difference as far as the sound is concerned.
Subjectivly I don't feel any difference in power or consumption between the two.
Great...
@ scrambler:
I know a guy who might want to sell one of those workshop CCKWs. It's sitting in his yard and seems to be in a relativly good (running) shape.
If you are interested I can establish a connection for you. It is located near Koblenz, Germany.
@ all: guess what that thing next to...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Got smoke?
Bjorn, thats an outstanding truck! Is this the standard mil 5th wheel on its back?
By the way, how are the chances to get a complete rig together (I understand that there is also a middle part where the rocket sits on and the motorized back)?
Regards,
Mark
RE: Deuce I H
thanks, guys.
The truck is standing in an active air-force installation here. I found no safer place for it ;-)
It was a very bold and straight forward move to get that, which probably impressed some people there. They made a very generous offer for letting me park the deuce ...
ACE, sorry, its 01-27-10094 all right. According to the VIN article the 27 indicates a m36, which is definitly not the right designation for the vehicle.
At least I know what that hole is for now!
Danke schön!
Mark
as I'm restoring the inside of my deuce's cabin I wonder what these holes right behind the drivers seat are for. I never saw them on other M35A2(c)s before.
Maybe this sheds some light on what sort of m35 this vehicle really is, because it's VIN is not compatible with what it resembles now (...
For the search engine, in case someone has the same problem one day:
My MBC has two bosses with bolts in them in each side on the rear of the unit. This setup prevented that the MBC can be slid through the hole in the frame behind it, in order to remove it, as indicated in the TM. Because the...
Just an additional thought: the oil stains on the right frame also can come from your crank case vent, which apparently has no rubber hose attached.
You might want to put a "slobber tube" on it, so it wont blow the oil fumes all over the frame and the starter.
Cheers,
Mark
Hi group,
I'm busting my knuckles to get that $%&%! mbc out. The TM says to remove the break line and the socket, remove the 4 bolts (that devil-third bolt was missing already ;-) ), slide the mbc through the hole in the frame backwards and tilt it downwards and remove it.
So far so good! My...
I have a few pictures of deuces with amber headlights in service, see below.
I myself managed to get hold on two amber sealed beams made by Westinghouse, which AFAIK are still to be bought in the States when you search by the Westinghouse number code. Only drawback: they are 12 Volt types...
