Awesome, thank you! I tapped into the #21 and grounded on the taillight mounting bolt and it worked with no problems.
Next question if I may. I am installing an electrical battery cutoff that needs to connect to an accessory wire that is only active/powered when the motor/alternator is running...
I am really confused by the negative rep on these. If they were never authorized in the HMMWV how did they end up in some/mine? Mine came with one, and has not had a single issue. I find it hard to believe if there was that big of a fire hazard/warning against these they would never have made it...
I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not. It's in a garage at home. This is being used for security while out. I might be uninformed but I can't imagine moving the batteries is a real thing.
I know a lot of people have installed something like this, so for those who have, how are you securing the battery compartment to prevent someone from just manually over-riding or bypassing a switch? Is there a common lockable latch or do you just buy something at the hardware store?

Very informative, but which truck are you referring to when you say wire #21 (is it universal?) I am trying to do this for my HMMWV. Where can I find wiring diagrams (which TM, link, etc)? I purchased a LED light (which says DC 12/24v - 10w) which I hope will work, and it does have a separate...
I know this thread is old, but where is everyone getting filters for the 6.2? I searched A910428 and dont come up with much, if anything. I saw suggestions for like Kascar, but they dont use this number. Same with a bunch of other sites who sell HMMWV filters; they all have different part...
