if there is anyone out there who worked on m-60's, i need some help..im working on a m-60 and im stumped.. i was told that it ran fine but it couldnt turn due to lack of power..i was told it was only running off the right bank (not sure what that means, possible turbo failure on the other side)...
hey baker, do you know anything about m-60s im haveing a problem with the left bank..i can drive straight but no power to turn..i think ill have to start a new thread on this one..thanks.
the kenosha military museum in wisconsin is selling alot of their unrestored equipment..they have shermans ranging in upwards of 100,00 but it is a closed bid..check it out
to be honest the decal look isnt a good one..to me it says you didnt want to take the time to do it right..try WWW.militarystencils.com and see if they will mask the decals for you so its easier to paint on and they look great too..just my 2 cents
been there..ive lost many battles with the wifey..but where we have to draw the line..is the MV's.. she understand's that us MV'ers have a sickness [:)] ...a sickness where there is no cure
believe me if there is a way no owner of the museum knows how...he only owns the largest private collection in the north east..something like 53 armored vehicles and artillery..i have years of work ahead of me.. :banghead:
you know when i was painting f-18's for the corps we had to use special paint they designed to withstand the high speeds and atmospheric conditions and would still come off and it was a huge pain in the butt to mix the colors for the letters and number so one day i was trying to get out of work...
as far as i know..there isnt any of these that are in working condition in private collection...but im probly wrong and is just fell under the radar...right know they (US GOV) are dump
ing these off the coast of new jersey for artificial reefs..we dont have any 113's at our museum but are...
my 2 cents says to go with the 2 part catalyst and paint, not so long ago when i was in the marines it was my job to paint vehicles, planes and helo's and we used a two part poly and catalyst without a reducer becuase it layed on thicker and flexible to make it more durable against the elements...
opie,
well actually there are four of those tubes on each side of the turret, they are the smoke grenade launchers but were rarely used becuase they blew up easy when hit by small arms fire and would blow the turret right off the tank, so they werent used.
it wasnt meant to be a white wall but someone got the bright idea to go ahead and put turtle wax on the rubber to bring out the black not realizing it would get stuck in the cracks in the rubber..it will wear away in time....as for selling it..it is not mine..it belongs to a museum.
yea i went with a semi gloss believe it or not but its still pretty shiny..ill post some more of it soon..i have a couple of it runing thru a field
