I appreciate that... we will see what next year brings. :) I doubt I will get another Jeep, but I did move up to a PopUp camper.... old age you know.
I would have gladly done it! :) They have changed some stuff, but I am not at all familiar with it. You can probably get a map at the Outpost...
I just found this thread (today) via the "Parts For Sale" thread under the "Steel Soldiers Rally" section. That is where I had been watching for further info, but there wasn't any. We have since made plans for a mountain camping trip with some good friends so hopefully will see some of y'all...
Great pics & flics... thanks for posting. Looks like I missed a grand-ole-time! The back is doing better and pain is easing, but I'm still not walking quite right. Hopefully, next year we will be back up there with you folks. Glad to hear y'all had nice weather for the rally. :)
Due to what I hope is just a minor health issue, I am unable to make it this year. Cabell knows the details. I just want to say that I wish you folks great fellowship, perfect weather, and an all-around great time! I know Saturday evening's BBQ will be mouth watering good. I'll be watching...
I am holding off in sending my registration, or making any plans at all. With the weather the way it's been this year my wife and I have not been camping since the April rally at Denton, and if things don't change we may not make Graves this year either. I/we do not like camping in the rain...
In spite of our being unsociable by setting our campsite up a mile from everyone else we had a great weekend. We saw many old friends, met some new ones, and left looking forward to doing it again. Here are the pics my wife took while we were on one of our many walks around the area.
Cabell, you can add two more to the grocery list. We are no longer dealing with food allergies so the proposed menu is just fine with us. As Don stated, if you need advance payment we will get a check in the mail. If our credit is still good, you will be reimbursed when we get there. :)
Thought I would make a quick post... the drive home was nice, peaceful and boring... just the way I like 'em. I drove out of the gloom somewhere not too far north of Reidsville, but once in Greensboro all **** broke loose... couldn't see the road for the rain. Fortunately, I was in the south...
Rick is trying to rattle my chain... I really can't tell by the tone if you are attempting to rattle it a little more, or is this is a legitimate question so I am answering cautiously as being legitimate.....
NO... I do not want anywhere near that fence. Yes I am shooting for where I last...
Ha Ha Ha... I know exactly what you are referring to, and in spite of some left-handed comments/suggestions made by none other than Mr. Cabell, good old Donald is NOT going to be the official rent-a-cop for this event. After taps, I plan to be well across the field minding my own business. :!::D
If it's still available, I hope to again snag the spot across the field far away from the walnut trees, and the horse noise. The iron in my Dodge is NOT up to the military specs covering walnut dents. I'm not at all concerned with grass or weeds. :)
I will be heading up in the AM on Thursday. This will be my new trail rig's maiden voyage. Looking forward to seeing y'all again. DP, sorry to hear you and your other half are out of the game. I was looking forward to seeing you again. I will be riding solo, my other half is still not up to...
I would like to say "Thanks" to all who have worked so hard to make this place what it is. I am sorry to say that I wasn't one of them. If only it wasn't such a long drive.
My new rig is almost finished. It's painted a shade of green, but that's about as close as it gets to matching the color-of-the-day. Cabell once told me he could tolerate square headlights so if the rest of you promise not to throw rocks at me I will be trying to make the trip up again this...
