I assumed the low mounted heater air intake and the flapper on the stack that it was an AF truck. the numbers will tell, so would pictures of the dash!
I had the same issue with my former Air Force m35a2c, the brakes locked, leaving truck parked in the yard. The airpacks got rebuilt. no joy. After 6 weekends of brake work, bit the bullett. purchased 2 new air packs, installed them. Bled the system with fresh dot 5. all is fixed.
Pair of Air Force M35a2c deuces.
Here are the pair of deuces my brother and i bought. We painted both, replaced both airpacks on mine.
These are our first trucks. Quite an addiction we have here.. Old Green Iron.. I like it. C-7 is mine, C-5 is my brothers.
Have the deuce shipped. Buy new airpack, it is cheap insurance. i know as my deuce is former Air Force and has dual packs. both packs failed a month after purchase (in my yard). The failed packs pumped the break fluid out of the air relief vent. Working brakes are a real piece of mind.
replaced 2 airpacks and got the deuce stopping the way the Air Force intended. What a PitA it was, 2 rebuild kits on 2 packs and still no brakes. new packs and it was a miracle.. Brakes!!!! After 150 mile shakedown ride, the breaks are working normally.
All good DeucesWild11..!!
Well we made progress, 1 rebuilt pack installed and were making good progress toward a test drive until i broke the brake light switch off.. i guess i do not know my strength.. Next weekend will get back to it.
Air passes from LH fitting and brakes still locked. Will replace the air packs with rebuilt ones on Sat afternoon. Then check the pedal adjustment at the Master Cylinder.. Anyone else have info to pass?
