    Its not a 350 diesel!

Working for GM for 16 years, it's NOT a 350. It's completely different.

    6.2l gasketology

And if you remove the oil pan and it has a rope style rear main seal, you may want to upgrade it. They now offer a 2 piece lip seal style seal to replace the rope style. We had much better luck with them lasting. Not to mention they are much easier than the rope to install and get to seal up...

    M1009 Odometer (getting rolled back?)

Working for the general for quite a few years..... It's pretty much impossible to get a spedo/odometer to roll backwards without physical intervention. The Ferris Bueller trick doesn't work with newer stuff. You can spin a cable backwards all day long and it won't take miles off. I hope...

    FL to MI

Glad to hear you made it safe and sound! I don't know if I would have taken that bag of "chow" around the truck though. I'm suprised the truck didn't revolt in some way with the quality of food that was around it. :)

    BIG Bob Job!!!

I would vote for the chopped stock bed rather than the 105 trailer bed personally. It's more work but in the long run it looks more correct.

    Unlocking steering colume

I would suggest the disconnection of the pitman arm or disconnecting the steering column shaft under the hood as well. Sometimes those steering wheels don't come off without a puller. Yes, sometimes they do, other times they won't. Disconnecting it under the hood would be a sure thing and you...

    M116AS Tough Enough

Good to see it can laugh at a little punishment. Let us know if they ever find the ones who hit it.

    Asbestos Remediation and the M820

I work in a field that has it regularly. I also work around it all the time. Yes, it's only dangerous if it's airborne. Thus you can inhale the particles which can lead to serious problems. I'm not going to tell you I take it out, or you can take it out. What I will tell you is that when it...

    Surge brake lockout safety tip!

For something strong, how about a piece of 3/8" drill rod? You could taper one end of it and drill it with crossholes for clips to retain it.
