Well i bit the bullet and Ordered a Generator from Boyce Equipment they are going from $385 to $440 as of now so if you need one prepare to shed some of your kids college fund! I guess the demand has gone up recently for these so if you get one through Boyce its re-man and has a warranty
Personally i run kerosine and atf when i have it and it runs great off a 80-20 mix with that i thought i was running 6-8mpg about the same as diesel but a little more power. And thats running 14.00x20 tires at 45 to 50 mph 2300 to 2500rpms roughly.
I know its a frequent question and its annoying i had to prove a point to a fellow know it all duece owner aka my dad so thank you for the input everyone

I just replaced the batterys with new ones a little over a week ago with some hi-po napa batts. I checks the wiring from head to toe and it all seems ok,i dont know alot about generators so what are you using for a modern generator? and where do you get one?
I was driving 71 m35 this weekend, usual dump run and while driving down the road at 50 my generator/battery guage was way beyond the red,and my cab filled with smoke that smelled like hot brakes,i puilled over, opened the hood and my generator was on fire! any ideas? it still runs and starts...
