All I've read about Selectro's say's there good except Gringletaube has reported that they let water in. I don't plan on doing any river crossings so I picked the Selectro's because they are the lowest profile and have a good reputation. Also I think they look the best.:beer:
I can tell you that I melted a piston in my Dodge when an aftermarket injector failed and poored fuel into the cylinder. Egt temps stayed normal. I was stupid and stubborn though. I could tell something was wrong and kept going anyway.
I like overlordofmars's way. I tried to save a m35a2w/w from rotting away at a government airport. The bureaucracy prefered to let it sit there and continue to rot away.
So are you an MP or something? Chill out. It was a legitimate question for someone with little experience and as you were checking him out you should have noticed he's only posted 40 something times. So I would think he hasn't been to active since 08. Lets try and not run our members off.

If anyone is still looking for a good price on Selectro's I just bought a set for $397.32.
The description is wrong but I did call to confirm that it is the correct hubs.
Never mind. It turned out to be a mistake after all.:x
I have an extra hard top in Plant City. It's in rough shape, but if you are any good at metal or body work you could fix it up nice.
Give me a call if interested in looking at it - 892-0917
Your going to save money in the short run putting in a gas engine, but you for sure will loose money in the long run. Gas mileage is going to suck and cost big bucks as fuel prices go up. Look for some kind of diesel to put in there.
Also looks like your rear main is leaking. If so just wait till you have to pull the tranny and then fix it. I have been waiting years to do that. I hope I keep waiting. :)
I have had my Duece for probably 8 years and it has only broke down once. Granted I don't use it much (only for work) but when I need it it has been reliable. The time it broke down I fixed it myself for $100.00.
Cause of breakdown was a very diry fuel tank full of fungus and me not changing...
I have bought from him before and had no problems at all, plus quick shippping.
Glad for the heads up though. I'll be a little careful if I buy from him again.
