I just purchased a set of G177's, 11x20 for my bobbed deuce. She still has dually setup in the rear.
My question is what recommended tire pressures would you run on the road and what would you run off road? Off road where I am involves no real mud or water (desert) but is very rocky and bumpy so...
Your shipping costs are very reasonable. When I was looking I had quotes as high as $700 to ship 4 tires to Washington state plus the cost of the tires!
Please don't take what I said as knocking you at all. I'm still quite new to the world of the deuce and had not been fortunate enough to have come across your business until now. I've got you in my fav's now.
Here's who I used...
ARMY 6X6
His prices were excellent and his shipping costs hammered all the other quotes I got. Dont underestimate your shipping costs, these tires are HEAVY!

As an option you could pinch the hole & add a couple of bottles of Bars Leak sealer. I know a lot of guys won't like that suggestion, but I've had very good luck with it.
I personally avoid bars leak, eggs, pepper, and anything else that doesnt belong in a normal operating system. I...
I recently purchased a deuce myself and did extensive research on here and the overwhelming consensus was that the MV/t's are the way to go. I just ordered a set from Andy at Army 6x6, he had the best deal I could find, can't wait to mount them and find out for myself.
I'd just like to thank you all for your help with the winch. I got the shear pins and checked it all out. I got some great advice and things to watch for too.
So here's my next question in my quest as a noob...
Does anyone have a good affordable source for some 11.00x20 NDT's with tubes...
I completely understand why this rule applies but when someone first acquires a military vehicle and needs info and parts, craigslist and ebay dont cut it. I've also tried them all with little to no success. I did get lots of fantastic info here from all you awesome members and appreciate it...
That's great advice. I work in an industrial machine shop and most of our time is spent fixing mistakes like that. Right parts for the right job. I've now located the pins (thanks Doghead) and will hopefully have them in hand shortly.
Thanks again for all your help. I'm thrilled to have found...
The cable is around the drum and tied off. It's set up so it can go directly through the front drum or up through the winder I assume? I havent had a chance to use it yet, just ordered up the manuals too. I expect to have to fix or change a few things but such is the life of buying used...
Supposedly the front end was beefed up when the winch was put on and the rear end was bobbed. It was done some years ago and everything's worked fine since with no signs of bad wear anywhere. Thanks for your concerns though :)
My truck is a 2.5 but a 20,000 lb was fitted to it from what I understand. I believe that I do need the pins you're talking about but before I get too far ahead of myself I'll see what you experts say about the pic I just posted regarding it. Thank you.
I just purchased the truck yesterday and it's not here so I can't say for certain. It's not a standard 10,000 lb winch as on most m35a2's. I'm told it's the one from a wrecker and my research seems to agree based on what it looks like. It is pto driven but until I get back to the truck I can...
Perfect! Thanks for the help. Any chance you might be able to save me a trip to the truck (stored away from here) and tell me what length you use please?
