You need the bracket off of the civy version, it puts the CDR at the front of the engine. The CUCV one is in the way of the tube going from the pressure side of the turbo to the intake.
I would look at everything else before replacing the sway bar or pitman arm. Unless they have been altered, I don't think you will find a solution in those two parts.

A lot of multimeter have a setting to check continuity. Wire up a long lead and start testing your wire runs. I've had wires just break for no reason. IF you need help with your gremlin hunting you have my number. Happy hunting.

No hurry, all though I would flush the IP and injectors with stanadyne since its going to sit till Jono gets backs. I did flush the old diesel...it was getting pretty bad. Anyways, can't wait to see the 6bt go into this build.

I've never had an issue with corrosion on a distribution block but preventative maintenance of any kind is never a bad idea. A good dielectric couldn't hurt being these don't really have insulation and see quit a bit more condensation inside.
I just drilled and used a grommet. I didn't care to go into any factory stuff if I didn't have to. It tears and pulls the grommet out.
