The threaded bolt holes on the corners are 3/8 inch. So a 3/8x1 inch bolt would work perfectly to secure the steel plate on the back two corners for the magnetic tail lights.
You just need to drill a 3/8 inch hole in each steel plate.
Thanks for the good ideas.
Using the steel plates and clamps worked perfectly, but I think if I purchase another trailer I will drill one hole in each plate and bolt the plates to the existing threaded bolt holes in the trailer body. I will take pictures and also measure the size of the...
I just brought home our M1101 trailer. I did some research and took two steel plates and clamps to put on the back corner braces for our $10 harbor freight magnetic lights. It worked great. Our trailer is a 2011 and looks great. The tires are brand new. Our plans are to lower the trailer with...
I just brought home our M1101 trailer and started to fill out the online SF97 form, and stopped when it asked for the VIN
When filling out the SF97 what did you put for the Vin? Serial number?
Manual says 55 mph maximum speed. I don't know how fast it will go. I only have had it up to 50 mph so far.
Just brought home a M1101 tonight. Can't wait to see how it fits behind the M923a2.
Thanks for the information. I have been looking for a spare MT654CR trans "just in case" ours goes out in the future. I wonder what it would take to modify the HT740 trans to fit our M923a2 trucks.
Today is a good day.
Our local DMV needed a Vin Verification, and a Certified weight on our M923a2 before they would issue a Registration Certificate.
I had our truck weighed and yesterday the CHP cleared us on the Vin verification.
So next week we should get the registration finished.
As...
Ken, I'll give you a call tomorrow. I can not get a mental picture of what you did. The axle that is leaking is facing the afternoon sun, so the pressure thing sounds plausible. It looks like the grease is escaping from all around the axle hub. None of the other axles are leaking.
The bolts...
That is a great deal. Thanks... I am going to check out the pressure thing, Ken is talking about first.
Only way I know of sending you money is by check.
I could send you a check, and you could cash it and make sure it is good before you send the gaskets, just let me know what the price is. You...
I notice that the rear differential, "actually both" have a rear plug, probably for filling the differential with oil. I know most differentials you fill until oil drips out the hole, then screw back in the plug. I guess our Military trucks are the same. I have to research to see what weight oil...
Thanks;
I need one for now, and then I will stock up for future needs. Do you have any for a M923a2 rear axle? If so, how much do you want for one or two?
Thanks
This axle started dripping about a month ago, and Ken suggested that the axle bolts might be loose. He was correct, they were. I tightened them and until now, no drips. I used a breaker bar to tighten them again, but I am worried about tightening them to much and break a bolt. TM9 gives a torque...
Yes, we received our title about 10 days ago. Since then, we have had our M923a2 weighed at a Certified scale "21,860 lbs." I saw 21,880 but they put down 21,860.
I had a full tank of diesel.
The CHP is supposed to come to my house this Friday to do a Vin verification.
