Great build!!! Thanks for documenting it all for our amusement and education. Always fun to watch these builds go and learn from them. Cant wait to be at a point where I can build one up.
That's why I find these threads so darned interesting. The innovation and craftsmanship is so cool. I love doing this kind of work.
Question: Why have the Generators I have seen folks mount under their MV's so darned big? I would think a nice quiet 2KW genny would be great for this application...
WHATS THE LATEST ON THIS RIG?? - sorry about the CAPS - I'd love to see some more pics of your progress. As for cutting the foam (which you've prob long since finished) - There are hot wire tools that are adjustable width so you can adjust it to 20" or so and cut each bay at a time.
Thanks for...
I was looking in the Rally forum for a rally that might be close enough for me to make a short road trip and had the thought that it would be useful to have a sticky at the top of the thread that lists all the Rallys alphabetically. Then, if someone is looking for one - there it is. Also, if...

Wow, I think what makes this such a good thread is that you approach it with a layman's attitude and experience - I don't mean to disregard your intelligence. Clearly, regardless of your experience or past or present profession - you have the skills and intellect to go at these tasks with a...
har har har - Nevertheless, I for one REALLY appreciate the time and effort you took to document this - many many posts say "I was able to complete the project using XX parts" - But this takes it to a much more understandable and thereby useful level.
Although I read the whole thread, could you...

Hello from a fellow Mainer. Before you get scolded :-) for not searching enough - I found this for you: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?69874-M35A2-electric-windshield-wiper-motor
