Thank you again. I really appreciate your time and input. I also thought about the windshield serial number vs. what they say it is. Also might only be 200 miles on it b/c thats when the engine went bad. Do you think definitely or possibly rebuilt?
That helps a lot. thanks for the info. EUC wait time was not that bad. Registering in VT first might be good. Did you know as little as I do when you bought it? In NY you need a title and a Bill of Sale - right? Also - what to do about the 6 digit VIN. Do you mind if I ask you how much...
Thanks NDT. Can you tell what is missing from the pictures? Does the AC compressor go between the two hoses? If not, what does?
Also - do you know what TM should I be looking at for this truck? TB 9-2320-335-13&P indicates its only for serial numbers 300000 and above and 9-2320-387-24-1 and...
I understand NDT. Rust and corrosion freeze the engine up. But they should mention that as a possibility - Guess that might be tough. Listings I've seen do mention if the engine is bad though.
Link to pics and listing below. What do you think?

I could do troubleshooting and hopefully get and install good parts but no way could I replace the engine or transmission. I also questioned how it could be an A1? Does anyone know when those or the M1152A1 started production? There was no picture of the id plate in the listing. The serial...
Tobash - I knew you would come around to offer some sound advice. I'm a "Cantankerous Grouch" as well and I understand what your saying. They usually mention in the listing if the engine is seized or cannot be repaired.
Truth is, and don't all jump on me at once, I didn't know what an ECV was until after the auction. Is the ECV more or less desirable? What do you think of the other pics? Do you think the engine likely has water damage? Rest of engine looks pretty good - no?
NDT - correct. The entire snorkel and rain cap are missing as well. Did you check out the pictures on ip? If not can I post a few for you to check out?
Tobash - understood - but is your M1025 registered and insured? Was that a problem? Please help. I don't think they will discriminate against NY because of me. They will be making $1500 for doing nothing and be able to sell it again - most likely for much more. They make money either way.
Just saw first two responses as well. Thank you very much. gTodan: I'm asking myself the same question you asked and Coug I was thinking the same things. Thank you both. IP site says they only kick you off if you default on several items from the same day auction but elsewhere it says they...
Hello all. I apologize for jumping in with a crisis but I could really use you're guys advice asap. I recently "won" an IP auction for a 2006 M1152A1 (2 door) with 200 miles on it for $9K with some caveats. It needs new windshield glass on both sides, is missing the A/C compressor and has no...
I'm new and live on Long Island as well. Did you register and insure it yet? If yes, any guidance you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
