Replaced all the belts, cleaned up some rust, working on getting a new hand mic for the PA20A; wired in extra fuse panel for 12V accessories. Removing old matching unit (bolts rusted solid, rust water comes out of drain plug) looking for new matching unit, and looking for new front marker and...
Ok, I contacted Federal Signal today and the person I spoke to either did not understand when I said PA20A or is a complete moron as the mic he told me to order has the same connector end as a guitar chord. Upon further research it looks like a PA200 mic has the same connector as the PA20A, so...
The mic housing is cracked and the wiring inside is brittle and detached in several places. In order to fix it I need to see pictures of the inside of the mic.
Thanks for the tip. It is a PA20A though; it's from the 60's/70's. If galls can help that will be great, but it comes down to it being outdated gear which is why I'm having difficulty finding it.
I recently got an M1009 CUCV with this PA installed and the hand mic is shot. If anyone has any ideas where I might be able to get a replacement mic or some internal pictures or drawings that would be great. I will post pictures of the connector later as I'm on my phone and photo bucket saved...
Replaced some light bulbs today, replaced all the belts, and chased down a couple of shorts. Now I have to figure out what is wrong with the Interceptor PA that came with the truck; and figure out if I need to replace the matching unit. The Interceptor should be fixed with a new hand mic and...
I've been lurking here for a few weeks now in anticipation of getting my first CUCV. I got her last week, and did some work on her today (new batt, clean up). After driving her around for a couple of hours I'm happy to say that she seems to be pretty reliable thus far.
I've been looking on Saturn Surplus and am unable to find the socket. I hope I'm just inept and they still have them; do you remember what it was listed under?
Thanks.
ETA: I found it but they are out of stock. Any helpful hints to find one would be much appreciated.
