Going rate for set of bows/uprights

I think I cornered the market on Bow corners at Iola last weekend. Paid $2 for some, $5 for some in better shape. We do have a couple each of the camo deuce covers and 5ton covers leftover. All are dirty but serviceable. some need the stiching re-done around the window zippers. PS...

If you remove the CTIS, you can switch over to A2 bearings. Actually, there's an "Equipment Company" in Memphis that sells conversion kits...

    Iola, Wis military show

Elm Valley Rd. looks pretty small, I'd be worried about weight limits on the bridges. Expecially since my M923 will be loaded up with "stuff". Think I'll head North on 110/22 out of Weyauwega, and angle over on Cty K to Cty B then Cty J up into Iola. Here's a pic of where the bridge is out...

    Iola, Wis military show

I'll be there camping Friday - Sunday in one of my M923's with a couple of other Waukesha County types who shall remain nameless until they find this post and choose to pipe-up... Should have some interesting items for sale/trade/barter... WEs.

    Spring PoofStock 2012

Thanks for the hospitality "Poof"!! Great food, great people and several tons of awesome vehicles. I don't have many pics to add that haven't already been posted, but at least can guarantee that my ugly mug isn't in any of the one's I took! :-?

    Spring PoofStock 2012

OK, I'm in!! Just googled it, and I'm only 29.1 miles east. Almost a straight shot over, keeping off the highways. Think I've settled on bringing the M923. The A3 is still a little shaky, and I just plain fit better in the 5ton anyway. Cya there. (and thanks for the invite!)

    M105 Cover trade

Hey Zeusdaddy, I think I saw a deuce with a plywood box built on the back with one of those "special" cargo covers on it. Looks to be about 18" taller than a regular cover, that must be what the extensions on the sides are for. Looks like my deuce cover may be repairable, but I'm definitely in...

Sparta M923 recovery and trip home

Forgot to report back after I got my toolbox open... Waited till I got back from vacation, spent 20 minutes with a cutoff wheel on my $8.99 HF Dremel-type tool. Got half-way through the hasp and then bent it open enough to finish it off with my el-cheapo 16" bolt cutters. Long story short, I...

    M35A3 Fiberglass Hoods

I was planning to just screw a couple of rubber bump-stops under the front edge of my hood. Did you get more fancier than that? If so, I wouldn't mind seeing a Pic or 2.

    M923A1 Insurance

I have all my insurance at the same State Farm agent, so many discounts applied. But my '85 M923 is about $49 every six months registered and insured as a historic MV / Antique / collector. Of course I can't operate it commercially and am limited to 2,000 miles per year (wink, wink). I guess...

Sparta M923 recovery and trip home

A hot-tub sounds good right about now:). I definitely feel better than I did after my M35A3 recovery though!! I'd probably fit behind the wheel better if I still weighed the same as I did back in '85 when our unit was issued these trucks, but man, what a trip to be able to re-live my miss-spent...

Sparta M923 recovery and trip home

Well, we made it home about 1600 today, and I am happy to announce yet another uneventful recovery of an M923 from Sparta. Thanks to Mike and Seth for running what I truly believe is one of the best GL sites out there. Also confirmed that my toolbox was indeed still locked. But,,, since it's...

    M105 Cover trade

I've got the day off this Wednesday to go and recover my M923. If I get home before the sun goes down, I'll see if my camo deuce cover is warm enough to stretch out and see what shape it's in.

OK, I have done some scrubbing with steel wool, and hope CARNAC or someone can point me in the right direction on the original year of my M35A3. hehehee,,, my evil scheme is working! As luck would have it, I am also in search of a Solid OD Deuce cargo cover. If you'd care to trade for cash, maybe I can point you to a reasonably priced camo cover? feel free to PM me if you like.

Sparta M923 recovery and trip home

Oops, guess I didn't get the one with the locked toolbox (although it had one in the GL video). I checked my inspection notes, and forgot I switched lots in the heat of the bidding war. Oh well, can't wait to hear what you find!

Sparta M923 recovery and trip home

Congrats on the recoveries. I'll be sure to watch for that blower smoke. I got the one with the locked tool box (hopefully still locked 8)). Picking her up on Wednesday, and fingers crossed for an un-eventful recovery. Wes.
