    5 ton air barkes

I have run a number of trucks with air brakes, over the years, and tore several air lines off as well. The air brakes will, as we all know, automatically lock up when the air pressure drops below about 60 PSI. However, with a good compressor, they will usually keep working in spite of the leak...

    New M880 owner

Looks good to me. I never was a Dodge fan until I bought my first one (M882). Bought another one this year. So, was there rust under the aluminum plates, in the floorboard ? Your plans for this truck sound good. Keep us posted on the operation as you go along. I am real curious to see...

Gasser 6602 intake/exhaust gasket, double up??

Steve, Can't speak specifically on a 602 Continental, but have done this several times on Red Diamond engines (IHC) , as quite often, after sitting up, the mainfolds would be eat away from rust/heat. Even had to build a few of them up with brass, then mill them off. I have seen a few...

Exactly how do you engage/disengage this unit ?? My experience with PTO's has been on Fuller, New Process, etc. transmisions which, of course, are engaged with the clutch. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Frame differences ?? 1 ton vs. M880 series

Hi all, Anybody happen to know if there is a difference in the frame on the M880 series and a civilian 1 ton Dodge ? Mainly referring to the thickness and height of the frame rails. I realize that bolt holes, brackets, etc. would be different, but am largely referring to the strength...

    locating parts

Haas, In answer to your question I will tell you what I have seen. The M880 series is referred to as '76/and before or after/76. All of the 76's I have seen, have the box mounted on the outside of the frame. 77's and up have it mounted on the inside of the frame. Now as to whether this...

    locating parts

I'll probably be throwed off of this list,(lol) for saying this, but, you can, if you're real desperate, get one through Advance Auto Parts, if you have one in your area? And, I'm sure other parts houses as well. About 3 or 4 years ago, mine went on the fritz and Advance quoted $199 for a...
