Soon to be M1009 owner with some ?s

The best possible way to correct pinion angles and driveshaft issues is to reweld the rear axles perches correcting the pinion angle and then extend the shafts as needed, for the front shimming can drastically change your steering geometry and caster, thats wh the best way is to remove the...

CUCV run on bio-diesel? CUCV vs Deuce questions..

clean used motor oil is fine to run thru the engine, just remember with motor oil theres a risk of water contamination, gas, and it could have tranny fluid. If you want to run used motor oil I wouldnt suggest more than a 50/50 blend and I would set up at a min a good filter sock atleast 10...

Soon to be M1009 owner with some ?s

depending on the use of your vehicle and when swapping axles you dont need a 6 inch lift to fit 35's. I have a k-5 on 36's with 4 inches of lift, but I did trim the fenders as this truck see more woods than anything else. If you really plan on offroading the truck and want the best articulation...

CUCV run on bio-diesel? CUCV vs Deuce questions..

Stampy mentioned a perfect point, both WVO and bio are excelent cleaners, also they lube the injection system alot better, 7.3 powerstrokes are quieter while running, I personaly have recorded better MPG but alot have recorded less. The heat and settle for watter drain is the best way I also...

CUCV run on bio-diesel? CUCV vs Deuce questions..

theres no oxygen sensor on a 2004 5.9 cummins diesel, the motor is just a common rail using a CP3 belt driven fuel pump, the injection system is computer controlled. A diesel engine will run on used motor oil, transmission oil, straight vegtable oil(heated) bio diesel, diesel fuel and the list...

CUCV run on bio-diesel? CUCV vs Deuce questions..

I have never run WVO in any 6.2 but I have run B100 made here on the farm for 5 years now, I have not had any problems out of any of my mechanical injected motors, I did replace my rubber lines on my vehicles and equipment due to swellin and I didn't want any problems and to be honest most all...

U-Joint on the rear driveshaft yoke?

if you have old u-joint still the 1310 u-joint measures 3.219 wide while a 1330 measures 3.625 wide. As far as I know all 208 and 241 in gm vehicles are 32 spline slip yokes that use a 1310 u-joint.

Radial Tires on 8 bolt beadlocks

I have ran many types of radials with the 8 bolt bead locks but did very little street driving with them. But I was able to seal Goodyear MTR's, BFG Mud terrains and some others. But a cheaper alternative I have found that works wonders in super swamper TSL's and boogers for street driven...

    oil pump

Every 6.2 I have seen is a gear driven oil pump. To try and diagnos the whine you could use a stethascope(spelling) or a wooden dowl or even a screwdriver, place the dowl against the transmission case and you ear see if the noise is amplified there, then check the oil pan and all parts around...

    Rain leaks....

I have had many models of blazers and jimmys, and only 1 had leaked and I removed my top all the time. I would suggest using a marking compund around the seal surfaces to check ensure its sealing properly all the way around. I have also heard from some guys aroud a body shop I get my work done...

    Transfer case leak

the NP 208 can be rebuilt without removing the whole unit. But on a slip yoke transfer case either np208 or 205 the rear tailhousing comes off to replace the rear output bearing its very simple a manual will help but exploded diagrams can be found on the net by searching on google, for them...

    goodyear wrangler tires

I have had very good luck with these tires in lighter vehicles the wear great and have good traction on wet and icey roads, but on my heavier trucks they just seem to dissapear guess the tread compound is too soft, the only 16 inch tire I have had any luck with last a long time is michelin LTX...

1983 CUCV M1008 Oil in Coolant

That was a brain fart from me, later 6.2's had a cooler that ran into a tank in the radiator just like a tranny cooler.
