So we got the trailer and looked at our M37... where do the safety chains connect to the truck? We have a swivl pintal hook but guess there must be some eyelets or hooks missing? Any help would be great.
We are looking at stripping/painting our m101. We took photos of all the markings but did not see a bridge class number. Be interested in seeing trailer marks from others. Thanks.
Had a few inquiries at Clare on the tires but wanted to re-post - 5 NDTs, paid $160 + $25 tubes/flaps = $185 per. Can meet in the SE Mich area if that helps. Unmounted, stored indoors and ended up not needing. I also have 5 split rims blasted/epoxy/enameled in 24087.
Thanks for posting the pics - most are dups of what I had taken. Too bad my son did not make it but it was nice to meet the group. I had some interest in my parts but I was too distracted to really sit there as a vendor. No, I did not buy any reflectors! I look forward to the next meet. A...
Here's what we thought we bring:

M37 VPW seats (board/foam) all 4 seats, vinyl covered
M37 New Life Canvas Seat Covers in bag(for the VPW seats)
Unmounted 9x16 Denman NDT with flap/tubes (qty=5)

Need some advice.... we could arrive on Saturday around 5pm with our trailer carrying M37 Parts Only - 4 new NDT, 4 used mud dawgs, 4 fresh wheels, misc pieces.
Or we could come up Sunday, but it sounds like most of you guys are leaving early Sunday. or not?
Its our first MV gathering and we...
Thanks for starting a standalone thread! I will be bringing new tires unmounted and newly painted wheels. I also have 4 takeoff Denman Mud Dawgs with tubes/flaps. I guess there is no registration required so we plan on bringing a small trailer with stuff.
Charles Talbert at <mseriesrebuild> has a very nice kit and instructions. It is a Pertronix part which you could find otherwise - but there are very few things that I found I was able to purchase from Charles in exchange for his tons of great support!
Not to contest previous information, but I was told that the coil needs the cooling provided by the 2 vent tubes as well. The 2 tubes also have specific ends over on the carb throat. One vent has a little pitot tube that is aimed away from the air cleaner (vac) and the other one is aimed at...
Hey Bigbee - the trailer is in Clarkston MI down the road from you. We are making a tile app to MI. Got to finish the M37 b/4 anything else. I plan on being at the Clare show with Zach. We will be wearing od caps with black "M37" on the front! See you there?
Hey Brian - thanks for the moral support!
The main problem with the undercoating is that because it has a bit of a rebound to it to deflect stones, its never really hard enough to blast off. What happens is that the sandblaster actually heats it up to a point where it kind of melts off...
Thanks for the support - I got a quote to sandblast everything but the bottom which has undercoating on it - $400 (includes axles/wheels) and we figured we would epoxy prime x2 and enamel x2. Somewhere around $1000 into it. Do you guys think its worth the restore if we had to sell it? I'm...
Well in the dog house now, got carried away at the auction site, bid, and won a m101 tralier that is complete with all the racks and green cover. The forward bulkhead is rusted thru along the bottom edge about an inch and will need a new piece welded in. The tires are NDT in great shape that...
Larry - if you're looking for a ride along, Zac would be available for shotgun! I have a few parts I was considering to bring:
M37 passenger seat back frame with spings/sandblasted/primed
M37 VPW seats (board/foam) all 4 seats, vinyl covered
M37 New Life Canvas Seat Covers in bag(for the VPW...
Mark Retzlaff is located in Holly at the cross roads of Grange Hall and Fish Lake Rd. His number is 248.634.9842 or 248.634.5274. He does sand and media blast - great guy to deal with and does big and small parts. He blasted almost every piece of my M37. The other guy is Springfield Metal in...
I just had my M37 done, part by part at a place in Holly - the guy is great and can handle a wide variety of items. He was just doing the front clip off a Peterbuilt. There is another place in Springfield near Clarkston that is pretty industrial/heavy duty. Both are reasonable. Let me know...
Thought I'd come over from the g741 site and hang with the big boys for a bit. Didn't realize the number of MI here. Still working on the M37 but bought a trailer anyway - now got to get the M37 done first. Are there any shows coming up? Larry told me about Clare this fall. Let me know - Keith
I have brand new Denmans with tube/flap unmounted here in S.E. MI for sale -$185per. I can deliver/meet in MI if needed. I bought an extra set in January but the project fell thru. My father in law just reminded me that they are in his garage....hmmm. I also have the wheels blasted/primed.
