Yep, I'll second the request for more yard info. Haven't been on SS in a while, but it's time to redo the brakes on the deuce. Plus get a PTO/shaft/lever/link and other bits and pieces. You guys going to do another group trip?
I've gotta say that after being treated like dirt in the past at barstow TP, I'll never go back. Yep, tons of great things, ridiculously high priced, and crap service. Hopefully it's changed a bit.
Dave and MD, let me check to see what I can find. I have only two 16's right now, but I might be able to find others. Shipping? Absolutely no idea. I wonder if UPS will take them, or if they'll have to go freight?
IAC, I'll get back to both of you on this.
Wow....that must be some sofa.
And me with all these really nice 11.00x20 Michelin XL's just sitting around down here :D
OK, digging through the yard stock, I found 5 new ones, and one that's 75%, and one that's a 30% quality for a spare. 950$ for the lot.I'll even deliver within...
Howdy - yep, as you see from your search, you'd need a _bit_ of a lift. There's a guy in a dually around here that's running them, and I'd estimate he's got around an 8" lift on it. I've got 36" tires on my Suburban, but they're 16.5's, and I'm not about to go find a whole new set of 16" rims...
I've got to clean out some of this area for other projects....11.00x20 Michelin XL's, 11.00x16 Michelins, some 9.00x20 NDCC's, etc. Some wheels too. Come to think of it, if there's someone in Southern California looking for any tires for their trucks, let me know and I'll bet I can get them for...
Good to hear he's back on the road - like I said before Bjorn, when you get closer to SoCal, LMK if you need help. I'm probably heading to Wyoming to pick up a Suburban, but I'll head out to help you if need be.
Safe travels bud!
Do you always believe everything everyone tells you?
Hell, there' isn't a vehicle made that I can't get stuck, and I know that.
Then again, pardon me....I just whacked my thumb with a ball peen hammer while working on a M105A2 landing gear today and I'm kinda grouchy. I'd load up on more...
Good thread...those Michelin XL 11.00x20's are exactly the same ones that I'm going to run as duals on my truck. The fronts go on sometime this week...still have to get some more for the rears.
OK, went through my pile (s) today, and pulled this PTO out - can anyone ID it? It came with a load of WC parts, but I don't think it's WC.
well hell, that didn't work. Images are in my folder in the photo gallery...I need to find out how to post them here.
That's the first I've heard of it.
Thanks guys, Bjorn, et al. I'll check into it. If it does work out, this'll save a ton of money. Since I'm thinking of eventually putting a plow onto it, I'd probably keep the extra leaves in, too. It's a winch truck, so it's already got a few hundred pounds...
Yeah, I'll give Norm a try, but I don't think he's going to have them. Barstow truck parts is, and always will be, on my **** list, and I'll never deal with those bozos again.
There might be some in Az - I've got to call someone tomorrow on it. After I rebuild that M-37 PTO that's sitting on...
Well, my sagging leafs are finally going to get dealt with this summer. They're getting close to being a reverse arch, ala K-5 Blazers, etc. Not a good thing.
I've called National, and they quoted $700 to remove, and rebuild both spring packs - re-arch, add two new leafs, replace all...
I'll keep you in mind - as I said, swapping all the way over to the XL's will take a while. When I've got them off, I'll post a heads up on this board and PM whoever was interested.
Thanks!
