My fuel pump has been giving me intermittent trouble. Finaly tore it down and found that the power wire is bad right at the point where it enters the motor. As these motors are sealed my question is has anyone successfully opened, repaired and then resealed one of these?
You are asking two different questions. The rings were not standerd equipment, however the M35s were all designed with the mounting holes to receive them. The first rings used were the M49s I believe, and the gun of choice was the 50 cal. M2HB. Following that was the M66 ring which started being...
I put in a keyed battery disconnect switch awhile back and it works fine. Located it in the storage box on the drivers side. Not only protects the vehicle from unauthorized use but protects the batterys from any electrical drains during storage periods. Got it from NAPA for about $35.
Here are a few more pics. that I took today, had to get it out for the insurance agent so he could take a few pics. Rember she is not done yet, paint touch up, troop seats and 50 cal. gun mount still have to be added. Hope you enjoy.

Talked to Rod yesterday. Ordered a complete set of plates. He has been very busy with shows and is hard to catch up with. His web site has been down for quite awhile, don't know why. For best results try his cell phone, 602-421-0858. Also information in the last issue of Military Vehicles, page 115.
Thanks for all the information guys. Ordered seat, chain and winch covers this morning from New Life. Very nice people to deal with. Should have everything in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. Norm :p
Does anyone know of a source for original material for recovering the seats in the M35? I know seat covers are available but I would prefer material so I can restore to original condition. Thanks for any help you can give.
MM,
When your ready for your canvas top try A-C-I Used Parts and Equipment in Sparks. Talk to Gene, he rebuilds M35s and has access to lots of parts. I bought a new canves top from him last fall. From our conversations on the phone he has a bone yard south of town somewhere, and a shop in town...
