right sorry 52 amps... inrush current measured i think 85 at startup but immediately dropped down into normal operating range. the 44 amps was from the walk in freezer and 2 ~1500 watt space heaters running. plus lights which draw basically nothing as they are LED. is there a way to adjust...
Got the unit up and running again today after the deoxit finally arrived and could do some cleaning on S6 and S8. gauges seem to be working normally again however a little concerned about the reliability of the ammeter. see the pictures but it seems to me if these units are rated for i believe...
Thanks ill get on that this week. Im fairly sure i had both S6 and S8 in the correct positions and i did show load at one time and then it just went away. I ordered some deoxit to clean out the switches I also bought a clamp on meter so i can verify amperage independently although not entirely...
I have not yet measured it with my multimeter. The gauge wasn't moving a whole lot probable ranging from 57-63Hz and not bouncing either. i would dial it in to 60Hz and then it would occasionally climb then i would dial it back and it would hold for a minute before dropping so i would raise...
Sorry been away for a while. finally finishing up the build process and got to test the 803 with the new freezer today. freezer ran great on the genset however noticing some issues on the panel. the frequency seems to be fluctuating and as i can seem to be able to keep it dialed in to 60 I'm...
unit will be powering a salmon processing facility. not a terribly large one but i need the startup power for the walk in freezer. Freezer uses i think 35 amps on startup then drops considerably. everything else should run no problem(lights, water pumps, vacuum packer, etc...) Having too...
Already have them all printed out and in a binder. all but the one maintenance manual that's over 700 pages. I've got it on my hard drive and should be ok with that. I do have smaller backup generators and solar battery bank if i need power
Sounds good guys, thanks again for all the advice. will be setting up and testing everything probably within the next month or so before i get things ready to ship
Great advice all around. Break in oil was reccomended, at what point are you past break in and on to normal operation? Also the well nut...Im going to be running with a roughly 160 gallon Aux. fuel tank so won't that bypass the onboard tank completely?
Bristol Bay, just outside Dillingham. This will be a strictly summer operation during the Salmon season so i figure #2 Diesel should be fine as it won't be getting below probably +45 on the coolest days.
to which diodes are you referring? I'm still pretty new to this but i have all the TM's and can look up parts but I'm not really sure about everything I'm looking at behind the panel LOL .
Thanks and yes i can get stuff shipped there but it can sometimes take weeks. Even amazon prime can take weeks to get there and I can't afford to be down that long. None of the big shipping carriers that we all use will deliver out there so i have to have parts flown in. a couple times a year i...
I don't know what the "problem areas" are. I am currently ready to order a couple back up relays and that one stupid expensive "switch". Voltage regulator, spare injector and pump, fan belt, and some various fuses. I also have 2 external fuel filters I'm going to be running my diesel through...
Hi all, First post here and after reading a lot I can see that I've come to the right place. I have recently acquired a fairly low hour(after reset) 803A. getting ready to ship it to a very remote area in Alaska and want to make sure i have any and all spare parts i could possibly need. other...
