Gunfighter1, do you have a picture of the oil return going into the oil pan? When you installed the fitting in the oil pan, did you pull the pan to do it? Also, did you use the stock oil feed line?
if you want all the parts except the turbo try giving this guy a call, i know he has an engine with everything still on it. i have been bugging him about the oil return block plate and i think its not worth the effort for him to just pull that for me. I am sure he would be willing to pull what...
no worries, just letting you know there are lots of threads here to read through...I have been doing the same. I am still debating what to do with the lift pump, was not something I was planning on. It is the little details that will get you. Also, with the manifolds and intake, try and get...
have you decided what you are doing for the oil lines for the turbo? specifically, what size (diameter and length) on the feed and where you are routing the return?
have you search this section for all the turbo build threads? I am in the process of getting the alst few pieces for my turbo project, using a holset hx35W, guess that or something similar is what your friend can get you? From what i have learned, the easy part is getting the big items like...
So i have read through a lot of the posts about turbo installs and need some input. I have just about all the parts i need to get the turbo i have on the engine, but the outstanding item is the air filter. In all the posts i have ready, i haven't really seen any discussion about air filter...
Being that my mechanical experience with engines is limited, but growing, I might hold off on doing the head studs and head gaskets for right now. Maybe just tackle the turbo. Haven't compeltely decided yet.
Yeah, i have of course read the same thing about the girdle. I need to replace the oil pan seal so I will have access to it. I might change my mind but i guess it can't hurt.
Do you know what you are doing for an air filter setup yet?
I went back and forth about if i wanted to do a Banks kit or find a turbo off a 6.5L engine. I ended up finding a HX35 a guy had on a 6.5L but was parting. I snagged the turbo, upper and lower intake, both exhaust manifolds, oil lines and crossover for $600.
I have been working on getting all...
killer_kricket, do you have a picture of the setup in the fuse block? Also, where did you tie into to connect it to the light switch? I am installing an autometer tach.
Yup, 100% sure. Even tried it in safari and no dice. I was able to add a profile picture though and then tried to upload the same picture to a photo album and same issue.
I am having issues getting pictures posted to a classified ad. I have them sized down to below the max limit for the file type. I just get a red circle with an exclamation point in it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
