OK so a little update... I ran all the 12Volt terminals together and all the 24 volt terminals together. No change. I looked for a cannon connector but was not able to see one. Does that mean it is a polarity protection device and not an LBCD? I ran a wire from the battery to the to excitor...
Gotcha Suprman, I will disconnect the CTIS wire from the E terminal on the voltage regulator and run a temporary hot 24 volt wire and see if it drops out.
The M35A-2 is so much easier to work on.... 24V that's it, electrically its easy. Until someone tries to shove a 12Volt dome light into it. Man that thing was as bright as the sun...until the dome melted. Should have been there first clue........
Not really sure to be honest, How can I tell them apart?
I was told to handle the electrical part, the mechanic would take care of "engine stuff". LOL. When both are integrated as they are on this beast, I am not sure where that dividing line is. So I go until I am happy with the results.
No there is nothing by the battery box other than the airline discharge/dryer?? Round cylinder about 10" round and about 18" long. I do not have the SS in front of me but that is my guesstimation?? Battery box, I am well versed in, I do not have the tester in the box. Squiggly cable with a push...
Is that the K11 relay on the print? There a was mouse nest in the PCP when it was brought to me to see if I can get it going. Well I had to go to it because it would not even start. Found a bad aux starter relay and 2 bad batteries. Got those changed and it started up with a little help from a...
The LBCD, that is the 4 terminal block that sits just below the air over hydraulic reservoir behind the cab, tucked kind of under the spare tire correct? I maybe calling it the wrong thing. I have not worked on military/NATO vehicles that much. I apologize.
According to the nameplate, march of 95. I maybe mistaken on the "A" part. I am guessing that is what the "A" is in the beginning of the serial number?? Here is the picture of the nameplate.
You have got to be freaking kidding me??!!! I had done all that but did NOT disconnect the cannon connector from the LBCD. Dear God I feel like the creator of the ID10T error. I will try that one again, and this time finish it job and let you know. Thank you for your help.
I am working on a 1995 Stewart Stevenson M1078 A. I am having an issue with the charging system. CB77 is good as is K11 relay. However after about 30 seconds my volts gage drops to 0. I pull either CB77 or K11 and reinstall it, the volts go up to about 27-28 for about 15 seconds, and then drop...
