Gunfreak25,
Thanks for an excellent write-up! You were right on target with what one can expect to find wrong and how to fix it. I printed this thread out and put it with my TM's for future use.
I wish there was an easier way to store posts that one considers helpful. In any case...
The antenna is white for a reason! The color white ensures the coolest operating temperature possible under extreme heat conditions. Painting the antenna any color other than white could exceed the designed temperature threshold for the antenna and cause significant problems and errors...
Welcome! Actually learned something today as I never heard of V-100 before. The twin guns don't look like 50's, what were they please? Again, welcome and thanks for sharing the pics.
Tom
Sweet find!
I remember the deuces having a hose that was connected somewhere that they could use to inflate tires and clean out things like air filters. Does anybody know where it hooks up, a picture would be appreciated? Also where can I get one?
Thanks in advance!
Tom
Yes, I got a letter about the shortage from my welding supply store. The plant that blew up in Kentucky apparently produced the majority of acetylene in the USA. I use it for TIG welding. It always seems to be something that is going up in price lately doesn't it.
BTW I live in Maryland and...
Concur. Belonged to 3rd Armored Division Artillery. Vehicle was Headquarters and Headquarters Battery #54. In case anyone was wondering, there are no more DIVARTY's in divisions anymore. They have Brigade Combat Teams (BCT's) in a division now. Each BCT has an FA battery attached to it for...
Please let me know the next time you roll, I'd like to follow you and see what happens. Though I hear you can't have any firearms at the MV Show at Ripken Stadium. I don't know for a fact but that is what I heard. I thought about displaying a non-working MG42 next to the Dnepr.
Tom
Interesting! Must be done south. If I tried driving my Dnepr down the street with a dummy DP-28, the Maryland State Police would ram me off the road and then shoot me for good measure. Imagine someone wanting to have an "evil" gun! Everbody knows only the police are trained to handle...
The BMW's seats and mount look post-war from what I can tell. Definitely not a Ural or Dnepr. Could be a frankenbike with original and post war parts. Would need to see it close up to be able to really tell.
The half-track and bike are beauties though[thumbzup] I'd take either one for...
My question is how do you and what do you drain the five gallons of oil into? I'm thinking of using a 5 gallon water bottle. Might try and catch the oil with a funnel and a hose that runs into the water bottle.
Any iinsight or deas would be greatly appreciated!
Tom
I always wonder why few people understand the concept that private property is not private when the so-called "owner" needs government permission or HOA prmission to do something.
I have my M109A3 parked in my driveway unregistered. Still waiting on GL to send me my Certificate of Title so I...
I spoke with Contract Officer/KO about the problems some of us are having. The information about GL is not very promising. :x
The way the contract is set-up is pretty sad. All of the surplus equipment the GL sells is given to them by title. The government simply takes a percentage of the...
