Doghead relay was the first mod I did to my truck, was cheap and easy to do. It gave me alot of confidence to do alot of work on my truck. It is a great confidence builder. thanks again Doghead!

That is not right fixing problems I did not know I had!!!
On the note that camo scares people. I have been driving mine to work lately and everyone now wants one. Only one guy( a rookie) saw it for the first time and said it looks like something you would use to fo kill someone with. He said he was sorry for the statement but if it would have been just...
Looks great. Just yesterday I was thinking about adding a line of tint on the windshield, but that would work too.Guess I will be making some trips to the junkyard to see what I can find!
Great Pics. Now I want a set for my truck and I have no need for them, unless you count driving through Jackson. We had a set on the back of our Firetruck downtown back in the 90's to keep the fireman riding behind the cab from getting hit by bottles or anything else the people on the streets...

hard to a find a good shop to work on old trucks, Do not even try to find someone to work on my 1931 ford! I spend alot of nights reading manuals just to keep it running.
One went through Camp Shelby here in MS for $3500 ( m1008 said it was running 35000miles on it). I thought it was rare, but as I see here they are going up in price. Just this week I have seen 4 on the road near me, there was only one guy a year ago. I paid $1700 for one with no rust.(m1028 )...
I did a 4 1/2 inch spring lift new shocks and pitman arm. I have 37 inch H1 radials on procomp wheels. I can drive on the road but trimming the front fenders this week. I had the tires on stock 6.75 inch wheels and did not have a problem until I changed to 8.25 inch wheels with 4 inch back spacing.
ccf460 I am a fireman for the city of Jackson in Ms, there are a good many fireman on this cite. I am just starting to drive my M1028 every 3 days to work, it is about 18 to 20 miles. I enjoy the ride in with the windows down and no radio. My daughter loves being picked up at school with it too.
have not driven it enough to check mpg yet.
As for driving, it make a little more noise but drives great. Fourwheeler mag did a build on one of these trucks and put 37 inch tires on it. they said they added a turbo because it was slower getting on the California highways. For me it still...
