ok I'll just tape up the ground wires and zip tie they out of the way. after reading some other post's that's what I figured but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!
okay, I bought a DL7157 alternator at auto zone (on the left in picture), I have a dumb question, where is the post for the ground? and do you need it? I have the gen 1 alternator out (on right in picture)
4 wheel drive light does light up after ignition is off and key removed. I felt the driver side alternator and it was really hot after running for about 10 min. thanks guys! Guess I'll be rebuilding that alternator
Have a strange problem. I must have fried something. When I shut my truck off the oil pressure light and one gen light come on and stay on even with the ignition in the off position and the key removed. any ideas?
**** it, I just bought a set of wellmans! I thought I would have to do the bypass using the ac60g's My truck starts ok right now but I just wanna change them out. Had the truck over a year and haven't swapped them yet.
I have an m1008, the batteries were dead, how can I use the 24 volt setting on my charger to charge the batteries rather than unhook everything and do 12v?
i just got an 85 m1008 i'd like to go either 33's or 35's or bigger. but i'd also love to get some sort of overdrive for it, i know with the 4l80e you need a stand alone controller. what about a heavily rebuilt 700r4? whats a good set up if you were to go with a 4l80e or 700r4 as far as gearing...
