I'm not sure if this is the right section to list this in so Mod's feel free to move it. I came across this USMC G-Wagen and have never seen it before. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 5ton, but I want to inquire to more knowledgeable minds about where I could find one of these for...
I love these Iltis! I am trying to get one off a friend, but may have to search for one from Germany. I think it's a great idea to have another forum for these. I want to learn everything I can about those amazing Europa Jeeps!
Getting things through customs is easy as long as it is de-milled correctly and I assume it has to be power washed super clean. APC's are easy and plentyful to find. Look in Poland or Czech Republic for cheaper prices than you would pay for from the UK.
That's up to you if you want the front axle powered or not. The 916's always go a lot higher, but still less than an M911 or M920. The 916 also has a winch on the back which is nice for the M870 trailer. If your going to be on the road all the time I'd go with the 915, but if you plan to pull...
You'd be alot happier with an M915/M916/M920. Cheaper, easy to find parts for, standard OTR tires and wheels, and plenty available lately.
The M915 series trucks get better fuel mileage and are just as big. The M916/M920 trucks have the larger kingpin needed to haul trailers like the M747. The...
The words spoken in that YouTube video are directly from what the lady wrote in her websites about the place. It's cool to see a video of it, I wonder if she was the one to make it or if it was someone else.
The nevada bomb sites would be cool to see, i'll look them up asap.
Well the reason I say they are not cranes or SCUDs is because of their uneven shape and when veiwed closely they look like indentations not a raised surface like a truck or building. I wish Google would tell you when the photos where taken, so we could tell how much activity there would be at...
Those are definitly not SCUDs. Those things look like some kind of earth works. Not vehicles.
Seeing as how these are in the Ukraine, I doubt you'd see them for sale on GL anytime ever. Most of the vehicles probably suffered alot of from the radiation, they won't glow but they won't run again...
Looks like it has the box from the 944 on the back (not the porsche) They call those batwings. GL had a bunch of the 944's for sale recently, never seen a truck like that though. Wonder if they put the box on as an upgrade, or it came factory like that?
Actually better yet, google map Chernobyl, Ukraine then look north a little near the top of the large lake on the left. That's the plant and you can zoom way down into it. It's really cool to see!
51.38978,30.104256 < this will get you right over the plant. I love google maps, it's so cool to...
I've had that article saved for a while. Doesn't tell you much about actually buying and importing a tank, but is a good read. Not sure why at the end he said he wanted to see it pink and sitting under white snow, but to each his own I guess. Thanks for posting this.
