Are Omix Ada radiators good to go?

I have not taken the radiator to anyone at this point, but its apparent I should do so. Thanks everyone for the replies! Just hope my new manufacture thermostat is good to go as well, I've heard the difference in height causes them to not come in contact enough with the coolant and therefore...

Are Omix Ada radiators good to go?

New to wrenching on cars, let alone ones that are 60+ years old. Had my 53 M38A1 for about three weeks now, and took it out for an easy 15 mile round trip the other day. It was the longest it had gone in awhile, apparently, as about the time I was pulling down my road I started smelling...

    My new-to-me 1952 USMC M38a1

So I joined the forum awhile back and just now have a military vehicle of my own. Its my first, as well as my first jeep. I will post pictures tomorrow, but I have to say how much fun I'm having with this little thing. It appears to be originally a USMC jeep, and has all data plates to...

CUCV2/CUCV-II Owners, post pics and info of your truck

That's a good looking security forces blazer up there! Was the steering wheel gouged in about 50 places by a pocketknife? That's how you can tell it was sf without the decals. Was once posted in a early 2000s lssv that had that done to it....I wanted to cry.

Finally Got Me A CUCV M1008

I think I remember this truck on Craigslist in Ohio somewhere....it disappeared awhile back. Maybe this is why! Congrats. I too would ditch the hmmwv tires and go more original or at the least more conventional.

    Oshkosh wins JLTV Contract.

So it's a MATV minus one third the weight and size? Or something like that. In 2011 I had barely been introduced to the MATV when I started seeing upgrades making them more the size of mraps. I figured the mobility gained from sacrificed armor had been given up and they were adding more armor...

New to forum from Lexington, KY

Thank you, everyone for the reception and the offers. I've got to say, this is a very friendly community and I hope to take you guys up on checking out your rides. Scar59, it's interesting you should mention Taylorsville lake. I was there just yesterday with my brother on an unsuccessful...

New to forum from Lexington, KY

I think this is the place to introduce oneself; so here goes! Found this forum a few weeks ago and don't yet own any military vehicles. I'm interested in either a CUCV or a M38 style jeep, but am leaning towards the jeep (simpler, more unique and easier to store!). I served in the USAF for a...
