I was off the site for so long, that I missed this one. Of course, now that I need a CDR valve. Is the correct AC Delco part number CV870 for a M1009? Rock Auto has the CV870, but I wanted to be sure before I ordered it.
Has anyone ordered these glow plugs from SS Diesel?

I do not really care for the 60G's or the Wellmans. So many batter options for my H1 with a 6.5 NA are available, I was hoping the CUCV with the 6.2 would have some better options. The Wellmans are...
I purchased my M1009 about two and a half years ago. Brought it to my mechanic and asked him to get it in shape to make the drive from Santa Barbara, CA to my cabin near Idaho City, ID. Made the drive without a hitch and it has been up in Idaho ever since. Only maintenance done since then was an...
Hey all. New to the HMMWV forum as I recently purchased my first Hummer H1. I have been on the board a while as I also have a CUCV M1009.
My 1995 H1 Wagon needs to be painted. I am thinking about going with a Winter Camo paint job. Can anyone provide me with a pattern and color codes? Also, any...
My 1985 M1009 is in Idaho and has been sitting all winter. Has not been started since November and has been completely buried, to the roof line, in snow for a while. It was a much worse winter than expected and I have not been up to the cabin to do anything about it. I am going up in a few weeks...
RE: Re: RE: Re: Possible M1008 For Sale
M1008's are going for between $4k and $5k in So Cal. That is with about 40k or 50k miles and clean straight body. Just saw one on CL for $4,800, but I could probably get it for closer to $4k. Has 60k miles, no rust and runs good. Civy paint job now, but...
If you don't find any local, I have a set of seats out of my M1009. Pretty good shape. No rips, worn but not to bad and not that faded. You pay shipping and and whatever the UPS Store charges for boxing costs and you can have them.
Every time my blackout light gets switched down to blackout, it blows my lights fuse. Must be a ground issue somewhere for me. Check your fuse first. If you don't need blackout mode, just epoxy the blackout switch in the up position to keep it from getting switched down by accident. Worked well...
I drove my M1009 on weekends only and not more than 20 or 30 miles at a time. Did that for years. Then I went through the fluids, belts, etc... before my big trip. Drove it around 1,000 miles from So Cal to Idaho, over a two day stretch, with not a single problem. I have not bought from Alfa...
I have a M1009 and love it. Very reliable and easy to work on. But, it is not a pickup. I plan ok keeping it at my vacation cabin in Idaho.
I need a truck for here on the ranch and would like a 1 ton. That is my big draw to the M1008, that and the diesel. If anyone knows of or hears about a...
I just finished installing a lift on my M1009. I went with the ORD 4" Shackle Flip and 2" EZ Ride Tuff Country springs for the rear. 4" Tuff Country EZ Ride Springs for the front. I had the stock RIMs powdercoated black and put 35" MT Baja Claw Radials. They clear the rear when fully stuffed. I...
Hey all. I promised I searched and could not find anything. I just replaced my front seats with some nice new comfy racking seats. I have the stock rear seat in my M1009. My new front seats and all my replacement interior panels are black. I want to get a slip-on cover for the rear seat in...
Everytime someone flips either switch for the blackout lights, it pops a fuse and the headlights won't work until it is replace. I know I could track down the problem with enough effort, but I don't need the blackout lights. If I disconnect the switches or cut the wires going into them, will the...
