Yeah, that was what I was thinking, that and the fact that it will be easier to get a new side panel than properly plug that hole.
I know the 5ton next to it has the upper panel scoop, but those are different in size and shape than the lower scoop, so it won't do me any good.
Thanks for your...
Well after going through another couple of hundred posts, I think I got a handle on this, its a late model thing, or a factory installed thing, or an USAF thing .This is an 83, so it falls into the late model thing. Could be a factory install. It does have a signal tower sticker in it. (ok...
Ohhhh.....
If anyone is so kind and can provide a pic of said setup, that would be awesome!!
BTW this does have heat, though its currently not installed. The side panels and hood are off another rig entirely, so it would explain having dual holes.
Searched and searched, even looked through dozens of pics and I am coming up empty handed. (course its probably just cause I don't know that one key word to search with) I have seen several with the hole but a blank cover there, and seen one with the hole open like mine, but nothing to indicate...

but but but....
I can have the rust free parts and put on the chassis with the good motor and the sprag. Is their any benefit to having the 83 over the 67 aside from personal choice of sprag or airshift?
So I drove the 67 Deuce from where I bought it, to my place. This whopping 40 yard trip was the easy part. The hard part is that while talking with my neighbor about my plans for the thing, he apparently had a change of heart and is now offering me the better bodied of the two Deuces he has...
RE: Re: RE: What neighbors have to say about my new M1009
I bought my Deuce from my neighbor, he still has another along with a pair of 5 tons, one is a long wheel base like an M36.
Hmmm.... Well at least it does not appear that I was just blind and missing the 27B in the diagrams..
I am gonna find the other end of this wire and see what I come up with.
Thanks for all the info so far!! I really appreciate the effort you guys put into helping out!!
