Well, they pulled the head, the bottom of the liner broke off somehow the top of the liner, piston and head were unscathed. Which is great news for me, just needs two liners, pistons, oil pan gasket and head gasket which have already been procured from a company in Louisianna for 350 something...
Thanks for the responses, I did see yours kingpepsi, hopefully the do not find too much wrong in there, I will be stopping tomorrow after work to see the innards. I think it let go less than a 1/4 mile from my house but can not be positive about that. I am kind of stuck, I do not have the tools...
Just got back from the garage, there are a bunch of sver dollar size bits of liner in the oil pan they were in the process of pulling the head off over cylinder#1, hopefully the block is not cracker or broken. I may know more more tomorrow.
Thanks, I am going down after work to see how bad mine is, they were checking the main bearings to make sure they did not suffer any damage, the guy at the garage said he may be able to put to new liners and pistons in and I would be ready to run, I hope this is the case...
My new to me m925 with 12000 plus miles on it started injesting large amounts of water into the oil, 5.5 gallons in 10 miles to be precise. Lowboy'd the truck to a local garage where they opened it up and found the #1 liner had broken off and at the piston in the process. Not sure if anyone else...
Mine is insured through Progressive commercial 540.00 per year if paid all at once, Haggerty insurance was 210.00 a year but the require it to be stored in a garage.. Hope that helps
Just an update I was able to re-route the airline from the in cab switch directly to the front wheel drive cylinder on the t-case bypassing the malfunctioning switch on the t-case range selector cable. The front axle engages and disengages fine. Just glad my truck is back on the road.
Good news and bad news. The good news which really outweighs the bad news is that my t-case suffered no ill effect from my me and my poor judgement when in my moment of need (had it buried in the mud up to the pumpkins and put in low reverse). The bad news it is the valve on the front of the...
Yes it has been in the teens for a while here when I get home from work tomorrow I will look the the front wheel drive valve located on the front of the t case and see if it hopefully stuck in..
It looks like it is pointed towards the t case I assume the washer on the cable pulls the switch back towards the engine to engage the front axle? Not 100% sure though.
I had to take the truck to town today to fill it with diesel and wash it, when pulling out of my yard I put it into low range. When I pulled into the truck stop for fuel I notice the truck was steering as if the front axle was engaged, it would not turn as shary as normal and It felt as if the...
