I would love to take the humvee there but I work weekends. I have almost used up all my paid days off BUT I will mark the date on the calendar. If I can get it off or don't have to work that day count me in. PM me more info on this.

I was asked by my USMC neighbor Mike if I can find more guys in the area who would like to be part of the city of Holt parade for 2010.
Holt is just outside of Lansing on the SE side.
Parade info is as follows. Monday, May 31st which is Memorial Day.
Line up will start at 1:00pm. I would ask...
Just incase someone on here doesn't check g503 or humvee.net
I have photos taken of the kit I have installed on my 2man truck

Does it sound like its coming from under you? Check the bolts between the back of the engine and the tranny...if those come loose and start to seperate you will bust you flexplate and once it breaks it will make a terrible noise...not that I would know tho..

I believe they started the task of looking for one vehicle to replace all the many different vehicles much earlier of course before the build. I have a data plate serial # 000080 for an M-997 built 5/85
I have one gamma goat muffler for sale. I do not know what these are worth. So if anyone makes a decent offer it's yours. I am located in the Flint Michigan area. The following link are photos of the muffler I have. It comes with the hangers and the correct bolts which were on it at the time...
I would think tennis balls in a tractor tire would be a story since I don't believe a tractor would get enough speed to cause an issue, besides the tread on some of those tires are so bad you going to have vibrations no matter how slow you go. Also a tennis ball doesnt really weight much to help...
Ya all should hear it in person much more civil sounding. The smell of the diesel is nice too.
I never thought this time would come so soon Ted...or that it took this long for you to get to this point. :-)
Ted that looks really great! I like the old man look of the seats with the plastic covers on em.
Hope to give ya a hand soon on it sometime when I get back to Lansing.

Ya get what ya pay for. I 2nd the non swelling glow plugs. There is also a guy on ebay that sells pretty much the same style plug for the humvee and they are non swelling and one year warranty. Got an extra 8 sitting around here waiting for me to use em..
Joel (still alive n kicking) humvee...
I was under the assumption that the LED lack of amp draw should NOT be an issue because its electric vs. thermal blinker... meaning if its thermal the draw of electricty makes a bi-metalic "thingy" bend as it gets hot and thus you make or break your connection then it trips and goes the opposite...
Looking good G-man! I am sure if I was doing this id half ass it at times just cause I would be in such a hurry to finish it. Glad to see ya have patience.

I know this isnt exactly a trailer item, but I am trying to track down some good working 24v light aux. system for towing a humvee behind a humvee. If anyone knows what I am talking about or of anyone selling some please reply.
Thanks
Joel
Isnt it true that the camo patters used are not exactly for concelement but to make it harder to count the number of vehicles if all are parked together? If the paint jobs were really to hide a vehicle it would be a bunch of leaves and tree trunks painted on all the trucks...
