Finally got a starter.

2+ months and the guy isn’t answering his phone. He said he would call me at the end of the week when I dropped it off. When he didn’t, I called him after 4 weeks, and he said he was having trouble getting it apart. Now a few months, and no answer. So I just bought a new one.

After a failed rebuild, and a fb scammer, finally ordered a brand new starter for $795. Once I get that in, we’ll see how it looks.

Can’t remove the nut holding the disk in. On Tactical Repairs video it stays stationary and nut comes off, but mine just spins (both directions).

Any tips on tearing this down and cleaning it? I know there’s a YouTube video from Tactical Repair for cleaning contactors. Any Rec on a suitable replacement?

Extra wheels and tires. Need to clean up the starter solenoid.

Started to pull mats and vac inside. Even found a relic from its past life before becoming a fire truck.

Taking a small victory today. Electrical seems decent so far, normal and blackout lighting works. No low air horn or light (not sure if this has a horn). Right taillight out, no change with brake application. All flashers and blinkers work.
