Where you get the headlights? BTW great setup on the winch. Lots of people commented on my setup as being, "as being an accident waiting to happen". Still pulling logs, big ones and as I don't rough it to much, will do. Good luck great job

During the winter, I use kerosene mix with diesel. Usually put two gallons of Kero to a full tank. My cucv starts all the time, as long as I go by the starting procedures. Good luck going forward.

I meant the Kevlar belts used on lawn mowers can be used on the cucv alternators as opposed to the OEM belts. My drivers side is 1/2" X 53" Heavy Duty Kevlar/Aramid Cord Belt. Instead of the Driver side alt Gates# 7575/Dayco# 15580, thanks for the heads up!

I'm using them on my alts now and they work great....originally for lawn mower apps!

The belt I use for my driverside alt is a lawnmower size equivalent. Beefy, thicker and solved my squeaking problem

All good now, changed main cable 24 volt, changed 12 volt lug, cleaned all terminals and presto! Thanks all, was hoping for something simple, just in case. Always good to make sure "Rocky" is up and running. Thanks again guys, now to hit the forums to help other guys.

So, update. I changed the main battery cable from the 24 volt terminal to the positive bus and tried to start, and now the positive 12 volt side is sparking so I stopped and here I is. I have to admit I am an electrical dummy. Any suggestions. I work nights, hard to work during the day and can...

Yes sir, learned the hard way to disconnect all terminals on all batteries when doing electrical.

Ok, so my M1008 has been running great for years now. Thank God! Changed oil and filter, changed fuel filter, went to prime IP by disconnecting IP charging wire, and tried to start and noticed 24 volt terminal glowing and smoking rubber boot protector. Turn off checked all my recently...

I agree with the concept of protecting the fuel from contamination, some creep might just have bad intentions. So I just checked loews, and might just get this setup.
