A sad sign of the times

I would rather cut fuel and throw lead while it cranks as opposed to throwing lead and a rod.

A sad sign of the times

Very true it really does take an idiot to steal something like a military vehicle especially since we obviously are a special group of people who are not afraid to defend what we love and believe in.

Nice thought on a solenoid valve in the fuel line I think I will do that next. I generally try to park with the wheels turned so it can't be pushed straight away. It really is difficult trying to out think the "bastages". Sorry love the term.

    Heater

I try not to brain storm it gives me a headache. Anyhow I love the idea I wonder how hard it will be to find the incorporate the parts to make a working unit. I definitely wouldn't mind trying to do it. Let the search for parts begin.

Thank you DiveMaster920 for answering in my absence. The second night of Channukah and dinner with the family. I appreciate everyones thoughts and responses. I also have a lock and chain on the steering wheel, the only problem is the heathens around the corner broke into a locked shed and a...

A sad sign of the times

I live in a suburb of Detroit Mi. a reasonably quiet neighborhood and very few problems. Well as of late we have had a few rather unsavory characters move in around us. So it was time for a step toward keeping my Deuce at home where it belongs and not running around with an unauthorized driver...

That is exactly how mine is plumbed. It works extremely well I am very happy. The biggest thing is to seal up as many of the holes around the truck as possible.

    Heater

These heaters do not need a fresh air supply there re-circulate the cabin air. That is partly why they are so effective. As to where to tap into for hot water on your truck I am sorry but do not know. I attached another link as to where my heater came from. Good luck keep me updated on your...

    Heater

I don't see why one could not be adapted to a 5-ton similar layout as the deuce. Some of the things I didn't like about the diesel heater are probably the same as yours. Complexity of finding all of the correct parts that can be afforded, The fact that they take up more room and lastly hot...

    Heater

Yes, I think you could adapt one to work in a M715. As far heater duct goes, PVC is your friend. Let me know how it works.

    Heater

Not a problem - glad it helped. I'm working on a schematic and will get it posted as soon as possible. Yeah, I put in 2 ball valves to stop the coolant flow - I was hoping for the same effect. I'm not sure the defrosting will work. Keep me updated - good luck! I love the winter here - I'm...

Yes you will need a resistor to vary the speed. A 100 watt 4 ohm resistor wired to one side of a single pole two position toggle switch will give approximately 14 volts hence a low speed. Most any toggle switch rated for 12 volts and 10 amps will work fine as when you step up in voltage your...
