I have a problem with the horn wire in the steering shaft. There is resistance between the horn button connecting plug and the contact sleeve on the steering shaft that I believe is keeping my horn from working. When I ground the wire that goes to the box at the bottom of the steering column...
Well, I don't know the difference between the old style and the new style. I have a 1990 m923a2.
Any help on how to get the shaft out of the column would be most appreciated.
Thanks for the comments. I thought that may be the case.
From studying the parts diagrams, it does not look like a king pin setup. I can't tell how it works from looking at the diagrams. Possibly the only way for me to understand it is to start taking it apart
I have searched the TM's and other posts and can't find anything on adjusting the camber on the 5 ton. I have visible positive camber on the right front and it is wearing the outer lugs on the tire. Toe in is correct, but I would like to get the camber right. Any suggestions?
Thanks
You would want to have the voltage running at 240. The gauges on these machines aren't too accurate. Get a good multimeter and use it to set Hz and Voltage. An easy place to tap in for a voltage reading is at the convenience outlet. You should set the machine to 120 volts there.
Glad it...
If you will look up the part numbers in the TM then google the number and search them on Epay you will find several sources. The local NAPA store is generally a good source for filters, but get the part number first and cross reference it.
Oh that's great. You will get hooked on it. Read the TM before you try to crank it. You would think that you'd want to idle it for a while when first starting, but you can burn up a very expensive voltage regulator board by idling. You are supposed to engage the throttle about halfway, then...
I bought a pair of trailer mounted MEP002A's last summer for $1669. Charged the batteries and they both cranked and made juice. Two things I looked for: Mine had been reset at the Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) and one had 12 hours on it and the other 13. They put a tag on them when they are...
What an adventure it has been troubleshooting the brakes in my 923A2. When I first noticed the leak I wanted someone here to give me a quick answer to the problem so I could hurry up and get back on the road. A glad hand leak was suggested so I hoped that was it because it would be quick and...
Thanks again to all of you for the advice. I think y'all are right, it has to be a diaphragm that I can't hear at the chamber because the vent goes to the intake tube. I understand about the power of the springs in the spring brakes and fully respect a loaded spring (more dangerous than a...
Thanks everyone for the help, but I am still stumped. I still need help with my air leak problem in my brakes. It is a large leak that occurs when I apply pressure to the pedal valve. The leak gets bigger as greater pressure is applied. The only place that I can hear the leak is in the...
Rustym923- Do you know where the brake discharge air dumps into the intake at?
Kind thanks to Rustym923 and Suprman. I think y'all hit the bullseye. As always, if I can figure out how to ask the question right, someone here knows the answer.
Thanks again everyone. I have walked around the truck with the engine killed and my wife holding steady pressure on the brake pedal. I can hear the air, but it is not coming from the cans or the glad hands. The noise comes from the snorkel. I'm baffled.
