I am starting another carburetor rebuild using the TM. I scanned the Holley 885 FFG Specifications and will scan the rest as I go along to post up for all of us. Does this PDF show up OK for everyone?

Brake fluid draining out of the drums would be an obvious sign of leaking wheel cylinders. I think it would be almost impossible to know for sure about anything else without taking the hubs off. Look over in the TM section and browse through the TM on these trucks that you can download for...

Any military truck will be expensive to own. I have friends that have M35A2, M35A3, M818, M923, etc., and they will tell you the same. I just really like the looks of the M135/M211's. Check out the parts list in the stickies and you can get an idea on parts availability. Most everything is easy...

hendersond is right on. I just did the brakes on mine too. Even with putting all new wheel cylinders on, one just sprung a leak. These trucks are a lot of work but are a lot of fun too. If the truck is as nice as you say, $1500 sounds good if the transmission is in working order. Pictures would...

Depends on what you get into. If you have to get brakes relined, new wheel cylinders, all new seals, gaskets, master cylinder and airpak, maybe some wheel bearings??...$1500+ I would take the radiator to a shop and see if it can be rebuilt or repaired if it is in fact bad. Not really any new...

The Canadian Military camo paint scheme that I have seen on some of these trucks looks really cool. Maybe some of the Canadian guys will post photos of it. I'll try to find some pictures and post them up for you in a day or two if our northern brothers don't beat me to it.

My brother was in Oklahoma City for the weekend and brought 10 of the 1100X20's off his 5 ton for me to put on the M135's. He put super singles on his M818. Looks like I have a bunch of tires to break down so I can put them on M135 rims. The work never stops, but I am happy with the tires...

TM 9-8647 came in today. It goes into a lot of detail on rebuilding our carburetors and governors. I highly recommend buying it if any of you have the chance. Lots of pictures too. I'll try to scan what is specific to the Holley 885-FFG and post it up here for all of us. More carburetor kits...

Just checked the one on my M135 at the house and it looks just like yours. Mine does not have play in the steering. I'll try to get by two of my other M135's later this week and check those.

Ok. Tested the fuel pressure and it is exactly 4 psi. The TM says the fuel pump pressure is 2.5 - 3 psi. Would 1 psi extra cause the fuel to blow past the needle and flood the bowl? I have not tried a gravity fed line from a fuel can yet.

I think it is something simple. Hopefully the fuel pressure. Will report back as soon as I can.
