I was driving down the highway when I typed that and knew I forgot to mention something. I should have remembered the sealing dipsticks and caps. I bought the trans dipstick for goodness sake!
Those vent lines are supposed to be routed collectively to the air filter housing and the military spec batteries are supposed to be rated for submersion.
In getting to know my truck through various repairs and work I've done, including slowly installing the deep fording kit piece at a time when I find good prices on components, there are two things I've noticed besides the actual intake height that limit it to the 30" mentioned.
1) The rubber...
I've gotten waves from cops in mine!
Unfortunately, there are Judge Dredds and Barney Fifes out there that give the good guys a bad name and make it harder for the good ones to do their job and not get burned out dealing with folks.
The stories I've heard from my brother just make me...
I'm far from an expert on engine building but I do know enough to make me dangerous...
What doghead was getting at was that the turbo, if it were unusually hot (exhaust gas temps on these trucks can pretty easily get above 1000 degrees under a hard pull), suddenly submerging it in...
Is this the stuff?

They specifically mention military applications.
If so, their distributor list says MicroCenter in Columbus carries their hook-up wire line but no mention of the one in Sharonville. Might be worth a call or trip to the Sharonville store...
The H1 hitch will install no problem. You must have the airlift bumper and the pintle must be removed. Only "modification" was having to drill the body brackets to mount the outside hitch brackets to.
It's an impressive mount that doesn't just mount to the bumper and body brackets, it also has...
Don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for but, here is a PDF of the complete deep fording kit installation instructions.
It specifies where each vent line goes.
I originally saved them from here.
Stupid question but since it sounds like you've checked everything else... Have you checked that your fuel tank is venting adequately? If you have the fuel cap secured and you take it off, does it make a noise like you're breaking vacuum on it?
I had a problem with my truck where the vent valve...
LOL! Those pics look familiar...
Good times!
What bedliner you going with? I did Monstaliner color matched to Green 383 and it's great!
My only complaints are that it's slick, especially when wet (to fix, I installed some horse stall mats trimmed to fit), and when carrying cargo...
Thanks for the link to the Marsten mat! I had been having a little difficulty finding some and put off looking. I'll have to get in touch with them to see what their shipping options are.
I was going to say something about that but then thought maybe he meant bumper hardware and the like.
After seeing the interior pics though, racing4funn, you might want to reconsider any of the stainless hardware you've got installed in the aluminum body because of galvanic corrosion that will...
Front mounted 12k electric winch
Rear mounted 12k electric winch (to be purchased and installed, truck mounting hardware is in place)
20' 44,000lb tow strap with 1" shackles
Logging chain (I think it's 20', not sure)
Tire chains (they don't just work in snow!)
Pioneer kit that came with the...
I don't have any direct experience with titling in NY but from what someone who lives there told me with his truck, it wasn't too tough. The only issue the guy I know ran into was the 6 digit VIN and needing a supervisor override.
I'm guessing he's just running into DMV drones that aren't used...
Just an FYI, Enterprise has 3/4 and 1 ton trucks you can rent and, their mileage rates give you the first 300 miles free then only $0.29/mi after.
I wish I'd have known that before I rented a U-Haul box truck to tow my trailer and paid their insane $0.79/mi, with no free mileage, to pick up my...
Absolutely, go right ahead!
Let me know if you need any others and I'll get them for you. I think the rain is finally moving out here so it won't be a problem.
Yep, that's where I get the most leaks from mine.
Now that I've got the top off, I'm planning on putting some adhesive weather stripping behind the Velcro (towards the rear of the top) to hopefully channel any water sneaking under from the cargo cover, off the sides.
You know what? Good call...
I didn't realize these bows tapered in toward the top, where I had taken the measurement last night.
Measured at the bottom:

I'll go back and edit my post from yesterday.
Yes, very much so! Like I mentioned in the linked thread, I've made a 4 hour round trip in them no problem.
With the high back seat base, you can actually raise the seat up high enough to mostly clear the B-pillar brace and recline it very nicely if you like. Passenger side is already high...
