I am thinking leaking around the accel pump lower check, also. That one is the bugger with the impossible to get to circular ring at the bottom of the bore. I got some debris in mine and had to turn the mixture screw in all the way to get it to idle.
Yep, sounds heat related. If the vent pipes aren't hooked up AND correct, you will cook the coil. I have a way to check that, but if done incorrectly can be ****ed dangerous. So, won't just put it on the interwebs.
Thanks! I had drilled a pair of 1/2" holes in the top of the frame to hold it down when the top was removed. Looks like a bunch of things would have to be redone if I ever went back to a ragtop.
