this is the trailer hitch in action with a modified jeep trailer. with such a light trailer and no power steering it is impossible to back up straight.
Also most comercial buses run off 24vdc systems with a power inverter hooked up for 12vdc and one inverter for 120ac for inside lights most of the running lights are 24 vdc.
this is a picture of the Reese trailer hitch and ball I attached to my deuce it is attached with eight 3/8 bolts four on each side of the frame with holes drilled through with a simple cordless drill. I used a 6" drop but it may not be enough for most trailers.
just run a 12volt line off the battery point inbetween and run a switch to the cab then to the set of lights under the bumper just dont run over cars with them down there they will get knocked off as the deuce tends to climb over cars. I have a set mounted there for seeing things up close.
I have a regular class 4 hitch on my deuce. I found one that lines up on the frame and bolts right in. It lined up on two holes in the frame so I had to drill out the other ones will have to look to remember model. Had to use a 6" drop to get the ball even near a trailer.
I bought my deuce when I was still in the Army I used to get waved through all the check points or sometimes I would get asked for my dispatch. As soon as my unit found out I had a deuce they found me to unload all the closed out deuce parts and manuals they could get rid of.
I hate referring to my deuce as made by Kaiser-Jeep everyone always puts make as Kaiser and model as Jeep no one understands. I might as well say its made by Kaiser and leave it at that.
