Post some pictures if you can. How many studs are broken? Are they broken off flush, above or below the surface of the knuckle? Are the ones that are broken screwed into blind or through holes?
The knuckle is critical, I wouldn't want to damage it in any way that would weaken it. If you are...
1/2x20tpi. 2.75" long. You could use longer if needed. The nuts need to be tapered lug nuts. 1/2"x20 is a common lugnut on small trailers, so they should be pretty easy to find. Good luck. And as said go ARP when you can, their fasteners are the best.
Steering does not work so well without those... I think those are 1/2" x20tpi. Are they broken off? Can you unscrew what is left of them? You can probably dig up some studs that will work at a fastener place.
Just to toss this out there... If you or your builder uses a transgo shift kit, be sure to follow the TV cable adjustment procedure given in the shift kit instructions. For whatever reason the transgo kit often requires the TV cable to be loose compared to the way it would normally be adjusted...
I thought the only two spline count choices were 27 or 32. That being said a 27 spline input for a NP208 is common and inexpensive. Plus it is pretty easy to install. No special tools needed. Only trick is to get some A/Trans "Assemble Goo". Goo helps hold the needle bearings for assembly...

Can you get any sort of pliers on the rod with the lid removed? I have a bunch of injection pump parts if you end up butchering parts getting it apart
Excellent.
We had the ORD drop Pitman on the M1008 and had to swap it out. The ORD drop Pitman arm isn't just a drop arm, it is also longer center to center. With it being longer and lower the high steer tie rod would make contact with it when the drivers side was compressed. That truck has...
Be mindful of pushing your front axle too far forward if you are going crossover with high steer. The M1008 has the ORD crossover with high steer, we used to have the zero rate blocks pushing the axle 1.5" forward, but had to change it to 1" forward when the high steer was installed. The...
I know you are not asking for ideas, but i'm curious what offset are your recentered wheels? That might play into how severe your hacking needs to be. I have 5.4" ish offset flat centers in my wheels. Another guy I know has stamped centers that put his offset around 3.5". The scrub radius...
If you could get your hands on a bad vacuum pump you could turn into an external oil pump priming tool to drop in place of the vacuum pump and turn the oil pump externally with a drill. If not I'd just pull the glow plugs and crank it over for a bit, that way you could insure your injection...
Tamper resistant torx is included in cheap Harbor Freight bit set, part number 68459 for about $6 If you want a nice set you can get a most likely made in the USA set from McMaster-Carr for about $70, part number 5996A3
Excellent. That sounds like that will work. Amazing how close math was to reality with you measuring 8 degrees and me calculating 8.something degrees.
I think you will be happy with the six degree shims.
Excellent. Make sure you mark the advance cam so you put it back on the throttle shaft in the exact same spot. There is a KD tool made for it that references the cam to the crosspin in the throttle shaft. You can make one out of epoxy putty.
Also make sure you place the top back on the pump...
I'll second that. The manifold ports in stock form are pretty horrible on the intakes, the heads are not much better.
As for power a Banks kit is about as good as it gets. They can be found used on Craigslist, eBay and if you are lucky a pick-n-pull yard.
Like everyone else who has chimed...
I'm going to put a couple photos of my setup on the bottom of this reply. It isn't exactly the same, but at least it shows an option if you are going to try to keep your standard universal driveshaft.
If you have the money burning a hole in your pocket consider a CV rear driveshaft. They...
OK, if my math is right with a 4" shackle flip you are moving the rear end of the 52" spring 8" down. That should be about 8.8 degrees... But someone else should check my math. I don't think it is practical to shim your pinion all the way back to stock as your shim would be somewhere between...
Get a protractor and see what is best for your rig. I have the ORD 2.5" shackle flip on my M1008 equivalent. I used a zero rate block cut at 3 degrees to tip the pinion back down a bit.
